1 Scholarship Information The Kubota Fund FY2015/ 2016 Number of 12 Grantees *Trainees must be nationals of developing countries in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. *Trainees must be studying a specific engineering devilment theme (preferably civil, electrical or agricultural engineering, or development economics). *Trainees should be recommended by the company or organization to which the trainees belong. *Trainees are not permitted to be in receipt of another scholarship in 2015 fiscal year. 80,00~120,000 yen per month 1 year *The renewal of another one year of grants will be subject to qualifications. Sato Yo International Scholarship in Spring Number of Grantees A few students Those who satisfy the following conditions at the date of April, 2015 The applicant must be a citizen from the following countries (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, East Timor, Vietnam), who does not hold Japanese citizenship and must be enrolled in a Japanese undergraduate or graduate institution, under the jurisdiction of the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. (1) Those who have interest in promoting international understanding and friendship, and is able to attend SISF meetings (meetings are held 6 times / year, and the transportation fee is provided) (2) Those who do not receive any sort of scholarship or funding from other parties (3) Those who hold legal residence status as a college student (4) Those who do not have a parent employed in Japan (5) Those who do not hold a doctorate degree (6) Those who are new freshman and new transfer students from April, 2015 (7) Those who have good communication skill in Japanese (8) Those who can positively cooperate on exchange activity as SATOM after the expiry of the term of scholarship (SATOM is alumni of Sato Yo International Scholarship ) 120,000 yen per month: Undergraduate Students

Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program for 2015 (Research Students) (1)Applicants who are self supporting international students at the time of application, and who are enrolled or plan to attend a graduate school (Master s course or Doctor s course) as a full time student at the date of April, 2015with excellent academic condition. (2)Applicants must have the nationality of a country which has diplomatic relations with the Japanese government. Applicants who have Japanese nationality at the time of application will not be eligible. (3) As a basic rule, applicants must have been born on or after April 2, (4)Applicants who are healthy both physically and mentally (5)Any applicant who meets any or all of the following conditions is not eligible. If identified after the start of the scholarship period, the applicant will be required to withdraw from the scholarship.

Those whose average monthly allowance from supporters must be less than 90,000 (not including admission fee, tuition, etc.). Those whose total amount of scholarship received per month must be less than the honors scholarship amount given per month. Nitori International Scholarship (NISF) (1) A student from over the world, non-japanese nationality and studies in Japan at his/her own expense (As of 2014/4/1). (2) A student who stays in Japan when he/she applies for NISF. (3) A student is enrolled in a Japanese university as an undergraduate or a graduate student, and an undergraduate student is in their third or fourth academic year, and a graduate student is in the first or second academic year as of April, (4) A student who needs financial aid to keep studying in Japan. (5) A student who has good enough health to pursuit studies in Japan, excellent academic record, good personality. (6) A student who has good communication skill in Japanese. (7) A student who has the strong will to contribute to international understanding and mutual friendship. (8) A student who is able to attend scholarship students annual gathering held by NISF (scheduled to be held twice a year). (9) A student who does not receive any sort of scholarship or subsidy for researcher from the other third parties while receiving the scholarship from NISF (Note that the student who simultaneously receives other scholarships is disqualified for the NISF scholarship recipient.) (10)A student who works part-time job in Japan for his/her financial reason to keep his/her study. (11)A student who can participate in NISF alumni activities as alumnus, even if his/her NISF scholarship is expired. Eligible Academic Year

Undergraduates: Regular students currently enrolled in their third or fourth academic year as of April, Graduates: Regular students currently enrolled in the first or second academic year of a master course as of April, *Undergraduate applicant must be 26 years old or younger (as of April 1, 2014) and Graduate applicant must be 28 years old or younger (as of April 1, 2014) and, as a basic rule, be currently enrolled within the minimum required years of study (i.e. he/she should not have repeated a year in Japanese university). 110,000 yen per month (Some students, who are in high rank of selection, can receive 150,000 yen per month.) As a basic rule, the scholarship will be guaranteed from April 2014 until the final year of the enrolled academic course, maximum 2 years (Exception: when a recipient repeats a year in Japanese university, he/she is disqualified for the further scholarship.)
