2 GRANTS & DEVELOPMENT Structure Office of Development provides support to secure external funding for university development Acts as a central office for development and outreach of key initiatives Grant application writing & facilitation processes are centralized office reviews and approves applications for external funding Administration of grants and contracts to ensure compliance with the donor regulations Liaison services between donors and project teams Training and information services to the teams of funded projects

3 GRANTS & DEVELOPMENT Over 300 registered externally funded projects at ISU since 2006 Over 70ongoing projects 1st grant holder in TEMPUS from Georgia Partner in 27 Tempus projects, 10 current projects out of which in two projects as a grant holder 4 Erasmus+ CBHEprojects funded in FP7 funded partnerships 2 Horizon 2020 successful projects

6 SALiS KEY HIGHLIGHTS Student Active Learning in Science (SALiS) The Student Active Learning in Science (SALiS) aims at promoting science teaching through a better inclusion of student active experimental learning in science classes. Project will promote inquiry-type lab-work as one of the foundations of modern curricular and methodological approaches in science teaching in order to reach high cognitive skills, a better learning of science concepts, and to promote the understanding of the nature of science itself. Project Coordinator: IliaState University Partner institutions from EU, Georgia, Moldova and Israel SALiSTraining Labs in 2 Georgian HEIs, 1 in Israel, & 2 in Moldova

7 ASPIRE KEY HIGHLIGHTS Access to Society for People with Individual Requirements Access to Society for People with Individual Requirements (ASPIRE) aims to promote and develop access to inclusive education, to social integration and to non-discrimination treatment of those with special needs in education in accordance with Bologna Process criteria and UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Project Coordinator: IliaState University Curriculum and Higher Education and Society Project Raising public awareness and acceptance of people with special needs in Armenia & Georgia

8 Erasmus+ CBHE 4 Projects Developing programs for Access of disadvantaged groups of people and Regions to higher Education (DARE) - University of Haifa (Israel) Higher Education interdisciplinary Reform In Tourism management and Applied Geoinformation curricula (HERITAGE) -UNIVERSITAT POLITECNICA DE VALENCIA (Spain) Investing in Entrepreneurial Universities in Caucasus and Central Asia (EUCA- Invest) - Magdeburg University (Germany) Creation of the Graduate Curricula in Peace Studies in Georgia (PESTUGE) -Dublin City University (Ireland)
