The function was graced by our Senior Faculties, Doctors,Nurses and Mehta staff.there were fun filled events with dance, singing and prize distribution to winners of various competition conducted in connection to our Founders day. 12 Happening Dr.Mehta s th WORLD HEPATITIS DAY was celebrated at Dr.Mehta s on 28 July Free blood tests was done for Hepatitis B & C to walk in persons. Dr.SUNITHA SUNIL, our family physician gave an eye opener talk to create awareness on HEPATITIS infections and their management. The meeting was presided by our in-house Senior Gastroenterologists 12

19 Happening Dr.Mehta s - Academics ACADEMIC EVENTS OSCE 18th, 19th and 20th March, 2016 Objective Structured Clinical Examination Pediatrics was done on March 2016 at Dr.Mehta s and Hotel Savera. DNB Pediatric students from all over India attended this program. The overwhelming response and feedback has encouraged us to do OSCE as an annual event henceforth. 19

21 Happening Dr.Mehta s - Academics National OT Seminar - Incision to instrumentation National OT seminar was done at Hotel Abu Palace on 27th march,2016. The seminar started with inauguration. Nurses from all over India participated in the seminar. The topics covered were legal pitfalls in OT,role of OT nurses in delivering safe and effective care in OT, NABH and OT, achieving excellence in patient safety. 21

22 Happening Dr.Mehta s - Academics th st NRP India Provider Course for Nurses & Doctors Feb 2016 Neonatal Resuscitation Programme was conducted for both nurses and doctors in February The topics covered were introduction,initial steps in resuscitation, Bag and Mask Ventilation, Intubation, Drugs used in resuscitation and Hands on Workstation. Nurses and doctors from all over India participated and got trained. 22

23 Happening Dr.Mehta s - Academics nd th AHPI Certified Internal Auditor Program 22 to 24 April, 2016 and on 17, 18 & 19 August, 2016 at Dr.Mehta s Hospitals, Chennai Internal audits are known to results into tremendous advantages.it keeps the system dynamic and self improving. AHPI Institute of Healthcare Quality designed an intensive 3 day program-certified INTERNAL AUDITOR for NABH.this comprehensive programme had educative sessions,live audits,presentation and discussions. 23

24 Happening Dr.Mehta s - Academics BASIC PROGRAM TO TRAIN CPQIH was held in JUNE 2016 Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations organised 3 day intensive programme in BASIC PROGRAM TO TRAIN CPQIH to train persons as Certified Professionals for Quality Implementation in Hospitals.It was attended by 35 participants from all over the country. The 3day programme trained participants on NABH Pre Accreditation Entry level standards, to plan and develop methodology for implementation of standards with hands on live training methodologies. 24

25 Happening Dr.Mehta s - Academics Academic course - B.Sc (Emergency & Trauma Care Technicians 2016) We launched our 4 year academic programme B.Sc Emergency and Trauma Care Technician in July 2015 with 10 students. This academic year also we had 10 students joined the course to endeavor a new career in Emergency Medicine. 25

27 Happening Dr.Mehta s - Academics Medicine Made Simple Dr.Dilip Kumar, Physician class on Medicine Made Easy revision course covering all the medicine systems in 6 days for PG aspirants was very informative and innovative. The participants were so appreciative of the wealth of knowledge shared in short notice. 27

The first day workshop was held at Mehta auditorium and next day conference was held at Hotel Savera. The conference covered broad and basic topics of family medicine. 28

29 Happening Dr.Mehta s - Community Outreach COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Walkathon - Move your feet for World Kidney Day th at Marina Beach on 13 March, 2016 World Kidney day is a global awareness campaign aimed at raising awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall health and to reduce the frequency and Impact of kidney diseases and its associated health problems worldwide. This year theme is Kidney disease and children. Act early to prevent it! Dr.Mehta s Hospital arranged a Walkathon in marina beach to create awareness on World Kidney day. 29

31 Happening Dr.Mehta s - Community Outreach Nitro s Day th On 9 July 2016,the Nungambakkam Chapter of Chennai runners organized Nitros Day at Nehru Stadium Chennai. Dr.Mehta s Hospitals organized a camp at Nitros Day and attended medical emergencies and gave first aids. 31

32 World Breast Feeding Week Happening Dr.Mehta s - Community Outreach World Breast Feeding week is an annual celebration which is being held every year from 1 to 7 August. This year 2016 breast feeding week theme was on raising awareness of the links between breast feeding and sustainable development goals. We at Dr.Mehta s organized an awareness walkathon on commemorating World breast feeding week at Marina beach.it was flagged by cine actors, Mr. Goundamani and Dr. Sethuraman, Our Chairman Mr. Dilip Mehta & Mrs. Vasantha. 32
