3 Once again, it is a pleasure for me to present the latest edition of Di.T.M.O., the premier event dedicated to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Opportunistic Mycoses. The meetings of Di.T.M.O. and FIMUA, the Italian Federation of Human and Animal Mycopathology, are the only two national events devoted solely to fungal infections. In the last two years economic constraints have forced us to reduce the number of symposia and the length of the Congress, but this has not led to lessened interest in the topics. This year s edition focuses on clinical and diagnostic aspects paying special attention to therapeutic advances (new drugs and new indications) and new diagnostic strategies. The meeting will also tackle antifungal stewardship since rationalization of these drugs, like all antibiotics, has become an essential task for all large hospitals. I look forward to welcome you to Genoa at the end of June 2015 for this two-day immersion course on fungal infections. The Coordinator Claudio Viscoli 3

8 SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION POSTERS Those interested in taking an active role in the scientific work are invited to send an abstract by May 18 th 2015 using only the online form available on the website. Registered authors are entitled to present a maximum of two abstracts each. The Organising Secretariat will notify authors of abstract acceptance via by June 4 th The Congress venue includes an area dedicated to posters. Authors will be able to attach their posters from on Thursday, June 25 th. Posters will be displayed from Thursday, June 25 th to Friday, June 26 th. Poster measurements: 70 cm wide x 100 cm high. Assembly material will be available in the poster area. ABSTRACTS Abstracts must be submitted online in electronic format by May 18 th The abstract form can be filled in by accessing the website and following the instructions provided. ABSTRACT ACCEPTANCE The committee assessing scientific contributions will select the abstracts to be inserted as posters. The Organising Secretariat will notify the author specified on the abstract form of abstract acceptance via by June 4 th At least one of the authors of accepted posters must be registered for the Congress.
