At The Presidential Hospital Indonesia Army Central Hospital Gatot Soebroto, we subsequently prepare the infrastructure / facility for the treatment. For the past few years, we have seen interventional pain management as one of the novel and rapidly-progressing branch of medicine, and it is our great pleasure to bring you these comprehensive sessions of knowledge-sharing and training. Pain management is often overlooked as one of the aspects of treatment, despite playing a major key in providing comfort and relief for the patient. This is especially evident in cases that causes chronic pain. This phenomenon provides a background for physicians to give more attention to pain management and its various method, one of the most novel of which being interventional pain management. This branch of medicine is devoted to diagnosis and treatment of pain-related disorder and utilizes a multidisciplinary approach which involves professionals from various branches of medicine to provide a wide range of treatment in order to alleviate pain from patients. With multiple procedures being done to alleviate pain under its list of competence such as epidural injection, nerve blocks, as well as facet joint injections, interventional pain management should be utilized in day-to day practice. However, an ideal treatment course should include both the diagnostics and treatment modalities targeted at curing the cause of the disease, as well as alleviating the patient's pain. This is why both causal treatment and pain management should be simultaneously practiced as to tackle the patient's disease without overlooking the aspect of physical and mental pain, hence creating a holistic treatment course. It is in our greatest hope that you will nd this seminar and workshop to be enlightening. We hope that the knowledge and skills that we provided in this seminar is useful and applicable to your daily practices, as well as being a valuable addition to your knowledge pool.
