1 2009 QuadraMed User Group Conference Speaker Roster Santina Allen, Manager, QuadraMed Santina has over ten years of healthcare information technology experience including system management, laboratory consulting and implementation, project management, and client services management. She has managed teams and client implementations in the US, Europe, and Middle East. She currently manages a team of QuadraMed Project Managers and Implementation Consultants from our New York Office. Prior to her vendor experience, Santina began her career in healthcare as a Medical Technologist and Physician Office Laboratory Manager. Joanne August, RN, MS, Manager, QuadraMed Joanne has spent the last 20 years of her more than 30 years in healthcare working with the AcuityPlus and workload measurement (and predecessors) products. In addition to implementing the system she focuses on assisting clients to understand and interpret the information relative to their organization. Of particular interest and expertise is the application of workload measurement data to the nursing labor budget process. Has presented at several user group conferences and other national conferences. Nancy Barton, RN, MSN, Director of Staffing, Northeast Georgia Health System Thirty seven years of nursing experience, the last 20 in management and leadership positions with an emphasis on the cost of care and staffing from a clinical outcomes and budgeting perspective. Experience also includes teaching at the college level and membership in several professional organizations including AONE, NAHQ and Sigma Theta Tau. Presented at numerous conferences including HIMSS 2009 on the topic of acuity based staffing and budgeting and the significance and benefit of partnering with finance and information systems. Currently serves as the productivity/resource management expert for the nursing division, manage the central staffing office, scheduling and productivity systems, internal staffing pools and outside nursing contract agencies. Linda Baum, Senior Vice President, Customer Services Linda Baum joined the QuadraMed Management Team in 2003, and accepted her current position in As an expert across the spectrum of healthcare information technology, her responsibilities are broad based and include enterprise wide customer support and implementation services. Prior to 2003, she served eight years as Senior Account Manager for the ADP Claims Services Group. In this position, Ms. Baum managed the delivery of medical bill review software and outsourcing services to Property & Casualty insurance companies, growing this business segment to more than $9 million in annual revenue. Previously, Linda Baum worked with Compucare, acquired by QuadraMed in She was the company's Director of Product Marketing. Her earlier experience with Compucare also included a variety of positions in customer services. Ms. Baum earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with High Honor majoring in Anthropology and Linguistics from Michigan State University, and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. She went on to study at Rutgers University from where she was awarded a MLS degree in Information Science. Richard Beckman, Technical Consultant, QuadraMed

2 Mr. Beckman has 28 years experience in healthcare information technology (computer operations and management) He also has 13 years with QCPR (HDS UltiCare, PerSe Patient1, Misys CPR, QuadraMed CPR). Mr. Beckman also has 10 years as report writer using QCPR ARF. Maryann Bertrand, Senior Consultant, QuadraMed Maryann Bertrand, BS, RN is a senior consultant for the AcuityPlus Acuity, Productivity and Benchmarking products at QuadraMed Corporation for the past year. She has over thirteen years of experience in information systems implementations, process redesign and change management for EMR s as well as financial systems in the inpatient and outpatient areas. Currently Maryann implements and supports staffing and productivity methodologies and software with the AcuityPlus product. Cindy Bolton, RN, MBA, is Project Manager, Clinical Documentation, Kingston General Hospital Cindy has a variety of clinical nursing experience in acute, public health, and home health care settings. Sarah Brochu, RHIA, Sr. Product Manager, QuadraMed Sarah is responsible for product direction and strategy for several modules of the Quantim HIM Suite of software applications. During her eight year tenure with QuadraMed, she has also been the Training Manager, Support Manager and Implementation Manager for products in QuadraMed s HIM pillar. Sarah has worked as the HIM Director in three southern California Hospitals and for other HIM software vendors. Valerio Carpi, Product Manager, QuadraMed Valerio is a Product Manager in our Care Management Product management team specializing in Pharmacy systems and pharmacy integration with clinical information systems. Valerio has over twenty years experience with the development and implementation of Pharmacy systems and has served in consulting, implementation and product management roles with the QCPR system for the past eighteen years. Daniel Castanon, RHIA, Application Support Analyst IV, QuadraMed Daniel Castanon, RHIA is an application support analyst IV for QuadraMed Corporation. He has five years of hospital experience including inpatient and outpatient coding, and compliance auditor. Daniel has over eight years of vendor experience encompassing HIM Implementations and HIM Support. Veronica Carr, RN, MSN, Administrative Director Nursing Informatics, Shands Teaching Hospital and Clinics Veronica Carr, RN, MSN, is the Administrative Director Nursing Informatics at Shands Teaching Hospital and Clinic. Her responsibilities include managing the AcuityPlus Productivity and Benchmarking System. As the QuadraMed AcuityPlus Coordinator, she has been involved in the revalidation of the AcuityPlus methodologies and related focus groups. Veronica s previous positions include staff nurse, Nurse Educator, Nurse Manager and IS Coordinator. Gordon Chong Kit, West Park Healthcare Centre Gordon Chong Kit is a technical specialist with more than a decade of experience creating solutions for clinicians in the QCPR. Kenneth Colbert, MS, Senior Research Analyst, QuadraMed

3 Ken has over twenty two years of healthcare experience from both the provider and vendor perspective. Areas of expertise include workload measurement, outcomes research, operational benchmarking and information systems design. Has authored or contributed to numerous articles and has presented at various international and national conferences, and at numerous user group conferences. Leslie Crabtree, Manager, Product Integration, QuadraMed Leslie Crabtree has been with QuadraMed/Compucare for over 26 years and in healthcare IT for 30 years. After 10 years involved in the implementation of interfaces and conversions, for the past 3 years she has been a product manager focusing on interfaces and integration. Jo Detraz, Senior Business Systems Analyst, QuadraMed Jo Detraz has been with QuadraMed for 8 years as a Revenue Cycle Business Analyst. Jo's accomplishments include designing the Account Workflow Suite of products: Patient Service Rep Worklist, Collector Worklist, Biller Worklist and Coordinated Business Office Worklist. Jo is currently working on the new RWL Registrar Worklist / Rules Engine project as well as the new Early Out Product Suite. Patricia Dilley, RN, BSN BC, Senior Implementation Consultant, QuadraMed Ms. Dilley is a Senior Implementation Consultant for QuadraMed Corporation. She brings expertise in all aspects of hospital based Health Care, including the interdisciplinary relationships each area contributes to the overall operation of the organization. Her areas of expertise include Nursing practice, clinical documentation, medication charting and barcode medication documentation. In addition to her implementation experience, Patricia has 25 years of clinical experience including Critical Care, Med/Surg, Pediatrics and Nursing Administration. Patricia is board certified and credentialed in Nursing Informatics. Barry Dirks, Software Architect QES, QuadraMed Barry has been with the company for fourteen years. He was the original developer of the first Windows version of the TempusOne scheduling application. Bill Dole, VP of Business Development, FormFast, Inc. Bill has been in the document management business for 20+ years. As Business Development Manager for FormFast, Inc., he has been responsible for building and maintaining business relationships with the major HIS and Document Imaging companies in the healthcare market. He has experience and knowledge regarding the best practices for healthcare organizations to prepare, implement and manage forms automation solutions. Prior to joining FormFast, he was in sales and management for a major healthcare document imaging and forms management company. Cynthia Dorsett, Technical Support Analyst, QuadraMed Cynthia Dorsett is a Technical Support Analyst with QuadraMed Corporation. Cynthia has been working with the QCPR product for 17 years primarily in the Client Support Services area. Cynthia provides technical support and is also the Product Release Coordinator for scheduling all QCPR Release Upgrades and Rollovers, as well as assisting clients in their upgrade planning and steps to completion along with providing rollover support.

4 Candis Douglass, RN, BSN, MBA, Nursing Resource Management Director, Charleston Area Medical Center Ms. Douglass has nine years experience working in nursing resource management and patient classification system administration for a multi facility hospital system. Annette Edmonds, Enterprise Solution Architect, QuadraMed Annette provides tactical and strategic planning to the unique requirements by representing QuadraMed as a QCPR Product Knowledge and Workflow expert with responsibility for all Clinical Functional areas; including Common Services (Patient Administration and Order / Communications Functionality), Nursing, Ambulatory Care, Emergency Services, Surgical, Radiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Interfaces, Data Migrations, and Future Services. Jennifer Estes, Senior Application Specialist, QuadraMed Jennifer has over eleven years of experience in client services. She assists clients in determining the cause of issues at their facilities and is the liaison between Development in regards to interface issues, reports and product enhancements. Since joining QuadraMed, Jennifer has worked at the HelpDesk now works as a Senior Application Specialist. Nancy Fouche, Principal Business System Analyst, QuadraMed Nancy Fouche is a Principal Business System Analyst for QuadraMed s Revenue Cycle Business Analyst team. Prior to this role, she spent nine years as Team Lead and/or Support Analyst for the Patient Financial Support group. Nancy has seven years experience working in a hospital setting as a Medical Social Worker, five years working under contract with CMS on the procurement of the Common Working File (as well as other procurements), and a total of twenty years working in the Health Care IT Vendor industry. Julie Garland, Scheduling Manager, BS, Mary Free Bed Julie Garland BS is the scheduling manager at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. She has over 12 years of experience with Rehab scheduling. Donna Groth, Sr. Advisory Technical Consultant, QuadraMed Donna has over Twenty four years of experience in Health Information Management, with almost 15 years of QuadraMed experience. Since joining QuadraMed, Her primary area of expertise include; HL7 Interfaces, Non HL7 Interface, X12 Interfaces, multiple Interface Engines, and Cache programming. She has been the Technical Lead and regularly takes responsible for assisting other team members with complex interface or interface engine technical issues. She has installed Affinity Interfaces at over 50 plus sites and installed various Interface Engines at over 20 plus sites. She has installed standard HL7 interfaces with Interface Engine implementation for single and multiple facilities that interface to over 15 vendors per facility. She has assisted in the installation of Affinity CMPI system and interfaces at several facilities. Donna s QuadraMed intra interface experience includes Affinity, CMPI and Affinity Pharmacy, QCM, QEDM, Precise Id, MPI Spy, and QES interfaces. She has developed and installed custom interfaces, include HCM, TDS, and Document Imaging Interface link to a third party vendors. She has performed analysis and the estimating modification request for Affinity interface and Affinity utility modifications request. She has also programmed complex modification request, new utilities. Donna has developed courses and training manual for Affinity Gateway for DataGate, Cloverleaf, QDX, and Ensemble and assisted in the development and training material for the Cache System Management

5 class. She has instructed over 40 plus Affinity HL7 Event Manager Classes, instructed over 20 plus Interface Engine classes, and instructed 2 Cache System Management classes. Donna has also instructed internal Affinity Gateway class for Ensemble. Carol Gunther, RN, Clinical Director 2E, Manager of Joint Replacement Center, Eisenhower Medical Center Carol Gunther, RN, is the Clinical Director of 2E and Manager of the Joint Replacement Center at Eisenhower Medical Center. She is also responsible for managing the AcuityPlus Productivity and Benchmarking System. HealthGrades has ranked Eisenhower #1 in the state of California for joint replacements in 2008 and The joint program was recently disease specific certified by JCAHO in July Debra Hamilton, BSc, PMP, Senior Project Manager, Shared Information Management Services (SIMS), West Park Healthcare Centre Debra is a Senior Project Manager with Shared Information Management Services (SIMS), an information management and technology group that is shared between 15 health care organizations in the Greater Toronto Area. Debra has been involved with a number of electronic patient record implementations in acute care, rehab, and complex continuing care settings. John Hawkins, Senior Product Manager Revenue Cycle, QuadraMed John has over thirty five years of industry experience and has been with QuadraMed for over thirteen years. He spent over thirteen years in various positions in healthcare financial management, including CFO for a hospital group in Southern California. John s held many positions with QuadraMed and has been in product management and a member of the revenue cycle team for over ten years. Barbara Hillock, RN, BSN, Principle Application Consultant, QuadraMed Barbara brings expertise in many aspects of hospital and community based clinical care including Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU), Surgery, Dialysis, Occupational Health and Public Health. Through her 25 years of experience in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) she has a broad view of the development and delivery of HIS software. Her areas of HIS expertise include Nursing, Pharmacy, Radiology, Laboratory, Order Results/Management and Physicians. In addition to her implementation experience, Barbara has served as both Manager and Director of Implementations and Director of Consulting for HIS Software organizations, including Health Data Sciences (HDS), Per Se, and Misys. Barbara is a registered nurse and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Eric Jeffery, Manager, Advanced Technology Solutions, QuadraMed Eric Jeffery has 18 years experience with Information Technology including extended time with major corporations including Hewlett Packard, Lockheed Martin, and Playboy Enterprises. Eric has technical expertise with networks, operating systems, hardware, and disaster recovery technologies. Eric continues to manage our Advanced Technology Solutions Group and has done so for the past four years. Yolanda Jennissen, RN, MS, Patient Classification Coordinator, Mayo Clinic, Rochester Ms. Jennissen has worked with the AcuityPlus application for 6 years, coordinating its utilization and maintaining its integrity at the Mayo facility. Wyvonne Johnson, MS, NRCC, SC Chemistry; Manager, Technical Services, QuadraMed

6 Wyvonne Johnson is the manager of Technical Services for QuadraMed Corporation. She has over 22 years of hospital experience including laboratory and system management which included 3 years as an Affinity Applications manager. Wyvonne has nine years of vendor experience encompassing implementation of Affinity, QES, Affinity Pharmacy interfaces and interface engines (Cloverleaf and Ensemble). Currently she manages Technical Services of QuadraMed in which she manages those areas listed above as well as Affinity conversions, SQL Connect, Affinity query, QES Report Writing, QCPR report writing and Data Warehouse. Buppy Kane, Technical Consultant, QuadraMed Buppy Kane has over 10 years of reporting experience in the HIM industry. She is currently 6 years at QuadraMed specializing in JReports, the adhoc report writer used with the Quantim application. Additional responsibilities include on site training for all levels of JReport users, beginning to advanced, and assisting clients in creating custom adhoc reports. Buppy works closely with QM Development to assist in the ongoing process of updating the Quantim standard reports per client requests. She creates adhoc reports for the Sales staff to present to potential clients and further develops specific reports to meet individual client needs. Buppy also provides client support for a wide range of customer inquiries regarding any number of reporting related issues. Christopher Kebbel, West Park Healthcare Centre Chris Kebbel has been a Registered Nurse for over 10 years. He divides his time between critical care nursing and the development of solutions within the QCPR product. Elaine King, MHS, RHIA, CHP, CHDA, Product Manager, QuadraMed Ms. King is currently HIM Product Manager at QuadraMed Corporation. She has previously spoken at the AHIMA national convention several times, including being scheduled to speak at the 2009 AHIMA convention in Grapevine, TX. She has spoken numerous times at HIMSS, and various state HIMA meetings. She has served on various ehim workgroups, and currently serves on the HIMSS EHR Adoption Task Force and the AHIMA Privacy and Security Practice Council. Jim Klein, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, QuadraMed A nationally recognized expert in the area of healthcare information technology, Jim Klein was appointed to his current position with QuadraMed in August Mr. Klein has more than 25 years experience in the industry and previously held the post of director, healthcare technology for InterSystems Corporation, a QuadraMed technology partner. He has also served as a vice president and research director with Gartner, Inc., and a member of the Compucare management team through that company's acquisition by QuadraMed in Karen Knapik Franke, Project Leader, The Children's Institute Karen Knapik Franke is the Project Leader in the I/S Department at The Children s Institute. She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare, with the last 10 focused specifically in healthcare information technology. John Lauer, M.S, Enterprise Solution Architect, QuadraMed John Lauer is the Enterprise Solution Architect at QuadraMed Corporation. In this position, which he attained in 2007 when QuadraMed acquired the CPR product from Misys, he provides system architecture and technical consulting services for Product Management, Development, Sales, as well as for QuadraMed clients.

7 Grace Liao, Seton Medical Center, Daughters of Charity Health System Grace received her Pharm.D from University of the Pacific, School of Pharmacy and completed a postgraduate residency program at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. She is currently employed at Seton Medical Center in Daly City and is the pharmacist champion for their Electronic Medical Record project. Mike Lomax, QuadraMed Mike Lomax has been in the computer industry as a System Engineer/ Administrator for 16 years. For the past 11 years he has been working with the QCPR product installing systems for new customers, replacing aging systems for existing customers, providing QCPR System Operations Staff Training and providing support to the companies Development Staff. Mike has been involved in developing standards for QCPR Disaster Recovery solutions as well as architecting systems for new and existing customers. Mike has 11 years experience with new QCPR customer installs, replacing aging systems for existing customers and providing System Operations training. Also involved in architecting QCPR systems. Anna Lyons, Product Manager, QuadraMed Anna Lyons is a Senior Product Manager in our Care Management Product Management team. Anna has over eleven years experience with Healthcare IT within the consulting, implementation, and product development areas. She has been with the QCPR system for over eleven years providing global direction to the product and solution delivered to market. Virginia Marcus, Senior Product Manager, QuadraMed As a Senior Product Manager at QuadraMed, Ms. Marcus is responsible for ensuring that QuadraMed s National Hospital Quality Measures and decision support solutions successfully keep pace with the regulatory changes and constantly changing market demands. Virginia has more than 20 years experience in the healthcare industry. As a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, she has given numerous public presentations about how to use data to optimize performance and quality care. Dawn Mcgowan, RN, Clinical Informatics Nurse, Princeton Healthcare System Dawn is responsible for the coordination and delivery of education to the entire nursing department once the changes to the patient assessment were made. Currently involved in the ongoing assessment and evaluation of the effectiveness of the current nursing assessment to identify potential changes need to ensure accurate and timely documentation for nursing. Initial involvement in Registered Nurse workflow assessment by a third party. Once I was moved to a Clinical Informatics RN coordinated and delivered the education for the nursing staff. Experience as an end user working in the ICU department helped to identify pros and cons to the current nursing assessment documentation. Ginette Montpetit, RN, BScN, Nursing analyst QCPR, CSSS Jardins Roussilon A member of the database team for QCPR for 15 years. Attended multiple conferences on this new professional norm. Kathy Myrick, RHIT, CCS, Senior Technical Business Analyst, QuadraMed Kathy is a coding and compliance software content analyst for QuadraMed Corporation. She has 24 years of HIM experience including vendor coding and compliance regulatory software, hospital coding

8 and reimbursement in consultant, auditing, compliance, management and non management roles. Kathy is an AHIMA ACE member and coding instructor for the AHIMA accredited Health Information Management Program at San Diego Mesa College. Professional participation includes: AHIMA Coding Community Council, California Health Information Association s Coding and Data Quality Committee and ICD 10 Committee, and frequent presenter at local, state and national coding meetings. Candice Newell, Senior Project Analyst, Shared Information Management Services (SIMS), West Park Healthcare Centre Candice is a Senior Project Analyst with Shared Information Management Services (SIMS), an information management and technology group that is shared between 15 health care organizations in the Greater Toronto Area. Candice has been involved with a number of electronic patient record implementations and process/workflow re design projects in acute care, rehab, and complex continuing care settings. Faron Niles, QuadraMed Faron Niles has 10 years of tenure with QuadraMed and over 10 years of prior hospital experience. He is familiar to many clients for his user focused project designs. Janeen Noecker, Sr. Systems Analyst, Munson Medical Center Janeen has worked at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI for over 11 years. Munson has used the QES scheduling application since Janeen's responsibilities include leading facility/department implementations, upgrades, database administration, education, end user support and procedure/resource builds. Since 1999, she has customized a large number of QES reports for Munson focusing on schedules and the patient itinerary. Janeen holds a BSBA degree from the University of Michigan. Ruth Plumb, RN, MSN, Nuse Specialist II, Sharp Healthcare Ms. Plumb has 8 years of experience working with the AcuityPlus system at the 6 hospital system of Sharp in San Diego. Experience includes staff nurse, charge nurse, case management, educator and specialist. Anna Polentini, RN BC, MSN, Senior Consultant, QuadraMed Corporation Anna has served as a Senior Consultant for the Patient Focused Solutions division for past 18 years. During this time she has implemented the Acuity, Productivity and Benchmarking methodologies for inpatient areas, Emergency Departments, and Perinatal Departments in hospitals with less than 100 beds through those with greater than 900 beds. Also works with nursing administrators and managers of QuadraMed client hospitals to utilize acuity, workload, productivity and benchmarking data to support delivery of patient care and appropriate utilization of staffing resources. Gillian Price, CIO, Winchester District Memorial Hospital Ms. Price s extensive experience in health care includes that of a Chief Information Management Officer at a community based teaching hospital, Corporate Director of Health at a large multi site teaching hospital, Lead Planner for the Eastern Ontario Regional Cancer Program as well as being engaged by the Ontario Ministry of Health & Long Term Care to perform organizational operations assessments for over 21 hospitals across Canada. Among many accomplishments, Ms. Price successfully implemented ICD 10CA coding methodologies and National Ambulatory Care Reporting Systems in numerous hospitals in the Province of Ontario.

9 Karen Reach, Clinical Systems Analyst, Princeton HealthCare Systems As a QCPR database analyst, Karen participated in the work sessions to re design the assessments and assisted in building the database. She is currently involved in ongoing database modifications as needed. Anthony Rowland, Senior Business Analyst, QuadraMed Anthony has been with QuadraMed for ten years and is a Senior Business Analyst for the Affinity Revenue Cycle group specializing in Patient Management applications. Currently he is focused on enhancing the Charge Master application and the development of a Guarantor Billing module. Prior to working at QuadraMed, he worked in both hospital and physicians office billing and collections for 8 years. Gina Sanvik, Product Manager, QuadraMed Gina is a HIM Solutions Product Manager at QuadraMed for Quantim Coding, Compliance and Abstracting. She has over seventeen years of HIM experience encompassing hospital coding and reimbursement in coding, consulting, compliance, management and non management roles. Her current professional affiliations include participation on the AHIMA Job Analysis Task Force as well as serving as MHIMA Delegate Director and member of the MHIMA Education and the Coding and Data Quality Committee. Monte Schachner, Seton Medical Center, Daughters of Charity Health System Monte received his Master in Healthcare administration in Cal State, LA. He is a registered Respiratory therapist (UCLA Santa Monica Resp therapy program). Bachelor degree from Hofstra University in New York. He started working at SMC since August 2007 as the Manager of Respiratory Service. He was involved in the initial implement of electronic health record + barcode med admin in a hospital in Sacramento. Kim Schmidt, Seton Medical Center, Daughters of Charity Health System Kim received her Registered Nurse Certification in She was a charge nurse at St. Louise Regional Medical Center before she was selected to participate in the DOCHS Electronic Medical Record in Mary Schopfer, Senior Interface Integration Developer, Gillette Children s Specialty Healthcare Mary Schopfer is a Senior Interface/Integration Developer for Gillette Children s Specialty Healthcare where for the last five years she has worked with the Cloverleaf engine. Mary has over 9 years interface experience including participating on a national ELR committee and presenting at CDC s PHIN conferences. Mike Sexton, QuadraMed Mike Sexton graduated from WPI with a B.S. in Computer Science. His background includes programming, system administration, and support. He has worked 15 years for QuadraMed and is responsible for providing client support and services as well as developing service offerings to meet client needs. Brenda Shuford, RN, Management Systems Coordinator, Mission Hospitals

10 For 18 years, Ms. Shuford has coordinated the use of the AcuityPlus system at the Mission hospitals. Her experience includes work with the Inpatient, Mental Health, Perinatal and Emerge methodologies. For the past two years she has represented the AcuityPlus users on the Board of Directors. Annie Spitz, Technical Consultant, QuadraMed Annie Spitz is a Technical Consultant for QuadraMed Corporation. She has worked for QuadraMed just over twenty years. Annie is the Team Lead for Technical Services Report Writers. She teaches, supports and writes reports in Affinity Information Retrieval, SQL Connect and QES. She also coordinates the QCPR Report Writers projects. Annie also works with Affinity interfaces and conversions. Nicole Storey, Appointment Services Supervisor, Gillette Children s Specialty Healthcare Nicole came from the University of Minnesota where she worked with the residency program with practical knowledge in the Amion and IDX product. Nicole has 3 years at Gillette focusing on in system design and build supporting internal applications.
