2 Collaborated with the Transition Team, representing the clinical requirements of both pediatric patients and healthcare providers Co-chaired Nursing Facilitator Group to manage communication and planning relating to new programming, infrastructure, workflow, and design Advocated for patient safety and patient/family-centered care processes throughout the project Managed clinical environmental readiness; held clinical areas accountable for a successful transition planning Developed collaborative relationships with vendors supporting the NCB project, facilitating meetings between vendors and managers to discuss floor plans, zoning properties, software applications, and device utilization Championed training in transition management, led education sessions, and used the organization s transition model to guide various workgroups Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland Nurse Manager, Department of Pediatrics Managed a 24-bed inpatient intermediate care and acute care adolescent medical-surgical unit. Responsible for unit operations, efficient resource utilization, fiscal outcomes, and patient care delivery Provided ongoing professional development of staff into nurse leaders Ensured effective human resource utilization and effective staff performance Facilitated staff participation in departmental endeavors around the culture of safety, performance improvement, and patient- and family-centered care. Assumed charge nurse responsibilities when assigned managing the patient flow and adequate staffing for a 34-bed medical-surgical pediatric unit for the designated shift Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland Clinical Nurse, Johns Hopkins Outpatient Surgery Center Provided patient care on a post anesthesia care unit for adult and pediatric patients receiving outpatient surgery The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, Baltimore, MD Clinical Nursing Instructor Instructed students in a bachelor degree nursing program clinical nursing skills and patient care activities in maternal child and pediatric nursing. Instructed students in a bachelor degree nursing program psychomotor skills within a skill laboratory environment.
