6 Healthcare Connect A monthly e-newsletter from CSHS Ongoing or continuous learning is a part and parcel of the healthcare field. This is an endeavour that I would like to see to see very much embedded in the CSHS culture of how we work. A starting point of learning is to share knowledge or opportunities. This in-house e-newsletter titled Healthcare Connect is being brought out on a monthly basis with the broad purpose of fostering sharing of information and to take stock of all the exciting things that have happened. Events which the entire CSHS team was responsible for making happen. It will also serve to communicate about other upcoming activities in CSHS. In this issue we focus our attention on staff who make up CSHS and contribute in its smooth functioning. We also feature students who have brought laurels to the department. I close with a beautiful quote by Sri Aurobindo, an Indian nationalist, freedom fighter, philosophy, yogi, guru and poet. The first principle of true teaching is that nothing can be taught. The teacher is not a teacher or task; he is a helper and a guide. His business is to suggest and not to impose, He doesn't actually train the pupil s mind, he only shows him how to perfect his instruments of knowledge and helps and encourages him in the process. He doesn't impart knowledge to him, he shows him how to acquire knowledge for himself. Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for the schools in the vicinity to be organized B.Sc Nursing.
