The stations participated in the ebraska Broadcasters Association program for 217. We were actively involved in the contribution of funds to setup this scholarship fund, the two month promotion of the program, and the review and judging of applications for the scholarship program. Two $1,5 scholarships were awarded for 217. Lewis Tapia was a judge of student entries for the Skills USA competition. He evaluated contestant's preparation for employment and students were then recognized for their excellence and professionalism in the field of audio/radio production. James Cartwright supervise Lewis for this a provided suggestions on what he should be looking for as a judge. RG Media hosted the UK Media Camp for high school students where we provided a tour of our facilities and had discussions about careers available in broadcasting. RG Media staff participated in the annual Kearney Chamber of Commerce Career Fair held at the ational Guard Armory. High school students from area schools attend the event. Station personnel manned a table displaying information about radio careers and talked to students about their interests and what we have to offer in broadcasting.
