RECRUITMET IITIATIVES Date 8//26 9/4/26 /3/26 /9/26 /23/26 Type of Recruitment Initiative (Menu Selection) Establishment of an intern program designed to assist members of the community sponsored by community groups Brief Description Of Activity General Manager visited ewberry College on Tuesday, March 22 and met with Jodie Peeler, the Professor who runs the Communications program and met with students. As the result of the meeting, students are applying for internships withy WLTX. President and General Manager presented and served as Panelist for Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. Session was attended by over students, where GM discussed his career path, various options for journalism students today, and the WLTX internship program. Richland ortheast Hispanic Heritage Teen Panel - County School System event for 25 students in the County to discuss potential professional career paths of interests for Hispanic students in the County. WLTX Anchor was a presenter and was a moderator for the panel discussion - highlighting careers in broadcasting and the need for Hispanic students to pursue these opportunities for the good of the overall community. Guest speaker at the USC School of Journalism. Presented to 2 students the latest in meteorology techniques and tools, and also discussed career paths that a combined geoscience and journalism educational background can have post graduation Richland 2 Girls Conference th through 2th graders attended Girls Empowerment and Career Conference. WLTX Anchor/MSJ attended and was a presenter and panelist during conference discussions. Approximately 2 students participated and engaged with WLTX Anchor/MSJ. Participated in USC School of Journalism Career Fair. Attended by President and General Manager, who engaged with over 65 students directly during his participation. VP Labor Relations conducted hour training sessions Workplace Violence Prevention and Situational Awareness training for all station employees and leaders. There were three date options as follows. Monday, March 2 at : PM (CT) Tuesday, March 2 at 5: PM (CT) Thursday, March 3 at 9: AM (CT) Those that could not make the live training options were provided a link to watch a recorded version. Participated in Career Fair sponsored by the South Carolina Broadcasters Association. Participation included talking to prospective candidates regarding open positions at WLTX and a Career within TEGA. WLTX participation included Rich O'Dell, President and GM. AC Flora Career Fair - Anchor for WLTX served as presenter and moderator for career discussion and Master of Ceremonies for career fair. Also participated in career fair representing station and discussing onair opportunities with students. Participation included guiding, advising, and making recommendations to university officials concerning issues related to student job readiness skills and employment.
