We were actively involved in the contribution of funds to setup this scholarship fund, the two month promotion of the program, and the review and judging of applications for the scholarship program. Two $1,5 scholarships were awarded for 216. Promotions Director, Brooke Schulz, and Program Director, Kevin Thomas, attended a career fair at the University of ebraska College of Journalism. Kevin Thomas also participated on a panel that discussed careers in broadcasting and his own personal experiences coming out of college. RECRUITMET IITIATIVES 4 5 Date 8/16/216 9/2/216 Type of Recruitment Initiative (Menu Selection) Hosting of Job Fair Provision of training to management Brief Description Of Activity RG Media co-sponsored a career fair 5 with the Lincoln Area Broadcasters group at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Lincoln, E. The career fair was attended by 25 interested individuals that registered with a Lincoln Broadcasters Association information sheet and/or resume. It is estimated that another 1-15 people attended the career fair but did not complete the information sheet. RG Media was involved in a meaningful role with the hosting of the career fair throughout the preparatory process/meetings for the career fair and ending with a follow-up meeting to discuss the positives and negatives of the career fair and where improvements may be made in the future. Steve Anderson, RG Media Regional Business Manager, was the Chairman of the committee that organized the career fair. Minutes of the meetings are kept with his EEO files. A broadly rotated promotional spot for the career fair ran on the RG stations and was also widely promoted by other members of the Lincoln Area Broadcasters Group. This group included the 2 major radio groups and 3 television stations in the Lincoln market. The RG Media booth at the job fair was manned at all times by 2 managers with employment decision making authority for RG Media (Operations Manager, Director of Sales, and two Program Directors). Steve Anderson, Regional Business 1 Manager, attended the Cline Williams 18th Annual Employment Law Forum in Lincoln, E. This forum covered a variety of employment law issues.
