3 WORKINDENMARKS PARTICIPATION IN JOB FAIRS Workindenmark participates in job fairs targeted highly qualified candidates within shortage areas. At these international job fairs Workindenmark will be able to: Advertise and present your vacancies Match your vacancies with qualified candidates Present candidates directly to you Motivate qualified candidates to apply for your vacancies Inform candidates about living and working conditions in Denmark As an employer you are welcome to participate in the job fairs. You will have the possibility to present your company and your vacancies on your own stand. It is also possible to book a room for interviews with candidates. The consultants from Workindenmark will assist you with the practical arrangements. Usually, the participation is free of charge at EURES job fairs. However, some fairs require a small stand fee. Companies wishing to attend private job fairs must meet all participation costs. Companies hold own expenses for travel and accommodation. For further information please contact Workindenmark. Some job fairs are general job fairs that can attract the right candidates providing they can see relevant job opportunities. Other job fairs are more targeted in relation to demand in Denmark. Workindenmark always recommends that job vacancies are advertised well in advance. 4

The fair targets job seekers seeking an international career and attracts many persons including highly qualified candidates. For further information: EMIGRATION EXPO The Netherlands, Houten: February 10-11, 2018 Emigration Expo is Europe s largest of its kind. It is organized by a private organization in cooperation with EURES the Netherlands and marketed throughout Dutch national media. The fair targets everybody who considers emigrating from the Netherlands and attracts many highly qualified applicants. In 2017 several Danish companies attended the fair with good results. Workindenmark can advertise vacancies through the Dutch Employment Service, the fair s website and EURES. For further information: EMIGRATE United Kingdom, London: February 10-11, 2018 The EMIGRATE will be focused on opportunities for people looking to work and set up businesses in EU member states. EMIGRATE is organised by Evolve Media Group and is a brand new event regarding Europa as target destination. The organizers have years of experience in organizing Down under live and Canada Live and this year EMIGRATE will be held next door to Down Under Live. The organisors expect around 4,000 visitors. Workindenmark will be attending the job fair to promote Danish vacancies and to attract the jobseekers attention to Denmark as possible target destination. For further information: 5

6 HIGHLY QUALIFIED IN GENERAL MIT EUROPEAN CAREER FAIR USA, Boston: February 24-26, 2018 In cooperation with Danish Industry and Copenhagen Capacity Workindenmark offers Danish companies the possibility to participate in the MIT European Career Fair 2018 or to expose open jobs for highly qualified candidates. The career fair attracts highly qualified and specialized candidates from the best universities in USA. You will be able to meet experienced candidates as well as recent graduates interested in a career in Denmark. We expect candidates with a background in engineering, biotech/pharma, management, science, IT and economy etc. The participating candidates will be from MIT, Harvard, Yale, Columbia and other Ivy League universities in the eastern part of USA. Companies wishing to participate in the fair may apply for a stand, and the stand may be placed in the Danish exhibition area if requested. Companies also have the opportunity to arrange on site interviews with candidates on 25th and 26th of February. Companies deciding to participate will be responsible for own registration, travel and accommodation etc. but Workindenmark offers to help with the registration. 7 HIGHLY QUALIFIED IN GENERAL AFSTUDEERBEURS Belgium, Ghent: March 27, 2018 The fair is organized by Ghent University Association. It is targeted bachelors, masters, PhDs and PostDocs in all academic areas and the organizer of the fair expects candidates from all over Belgium. Afstudeerbeurs consists of 3 separate fairs at the same time and place: 1) The general job market for companies recruiting candidates in several categories 2) The Job Market for Young Researchers for companies that need PhDs and PostDocs for research purpose 3) The International Job Corner for companies that wants to meet international candidates for their open positions. It is possible to get in contact with specific profiles in agreement with the organizer and to expose open positions to relevant target groups before the fair. 8 Engineering and IT COLLABORATIONS The European job network EURES has recruitment consultants in all EU-countries. Workindenmark is part of the network and have access to collaboration with more than 800 recruitment consultants all over Europe in our search for candidates. We use the EURES network actively when we investigate the market for job fairs. Workindenmark also collaborates with private job organizers. 8

9 ORIENTATI AL FUTUTO CAREER FAIR POLITO ENGINEERING AND IT Italy, Turin: April 2018 This job fair is arranged by the Polytechnic University of Turin in cooperation with EURES Italy. The university offers a wide range of study options within the technical fields such as mechanical engineers, production engineers, construction engineers, electrical engineers and engineers within geotechnology, energy, aerospace and robot technologies. The fair focuses on career opportunities for graduates holding a master degree and young engineers, but is also visited by experienced candidates. For further information: stagejob.polito.it/companies/placement_services IT RECRUITMENT FAIR Sweden, Lund: April 19, 2018 This job fair addresses IT specialists and is organized by EURES Sweden in cooperation with the Swedish Employment Service. The job fair lasts only 3 hours (10:00 AM PM) so it is possible to get back and forth in one day. The fair is well visited and many of the participating companies manage to arrange interviews with candidates. 10 THE NATIONAL ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION RECRUITMENT EXHIBITION ENGINEERING AND IT United Kingdom, Birmingham: April 20-21, 2018 NEC Recruitment Exhibition is the largest job fair for engineers in UK. The fair is organized by Venture Marketing Group in cooperation with The Telegraph. The fair targets a wide range of specialists within all aspects of engineering as well as specialists within IT and biotech/pharma, i.e. chemical engineers, civil engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, oil & gas engineers, process engineers, construction engineers and software engineers. The job fair is supported by major industry associations and institutions and will be marketed in major national media. For further information: 10

11 Biotech and Pharma THE CANDIDATES Workindenmark meets more than 5,000 candidates each year at job fairs around Europe. We know that many of these candidates subsequently apply for one or more of the jobs they have been presented for at the fairs. A great number also upload their CV in our CV bank. 12 MCAA CAREER FAIR BIOTECH AND PHARMA Belgium, Leuven: February The fair is arranged by the Marie Curie Alumni Association an association of highly qualified researchers working or having worked at Marie Curie research projects. The fair is arranged in connection with the association s yearly meeting. At the fair it is possible to meet highly qualified candidates with experience from life science, engineering, economy etc. It is possible to expose vacant positions before the fair on MCAA s webportal. For further information: CHASE (CAREERS IN HEALTH AND SCIENCE EXPO) Sweden, Stockholm: March 7, 2018 CHaSE is organized by Karolinska Instituttet och Medisinska Föreningen. The career fair mainly targets students ( bachelor, master and PhD) and graduates (PostDocs) within health and biotech/pharma who are interested in pursuing a career in the health sector, outside academia in Sweden or abroad. The job fair is focused on career opportunities for graduates and young professionals with biomedical, biotechnological, pharmaceutical and medico background. 13 POLYMESSE, ETH BIOTECH AND PHARMA Switzerland, Zürich: April 24-26, 2018 The fair is arranged by Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule in Zürich. The target group is PhDs, PostDocs and graduates together with biotech/pharma specialists and engineers with several years of experience from companies in Schwitzerland as well as the neighbouring countries. For further information: BCF CAREER EVENT The Netherlands, Utrecht: May 24, 2018 BCF Career Event is organized by Hyphen Projects. In the Netherlands it has been the largest and leading career event in Europe for the highly educated in life sciences, chemistry, food & pharma for over a decade. BCF Career Event is aimed at e.g. all professionals and students (HBO and WO Bachelor, Master, PhD) who are interested in working in life sciences. For further information: 13

15 EXPOMEDICS Portugal, Porto: March 3 and Lisbon: March 4, 2018 HEALTH This is a private job fair organized by Expomedics, targeted the health sector. Workindenmark expects to meet medical specialists in different specialties. Job vacancies will be advertised prior to the job fair on the website of Expomedics. The fair will be marketed through the medical associations, by social media and by s send to doctors in Portugal. For further information: TARGETED RECRUITMENT TO THE HEALTH SECTOR Spain, Madrid: April 26, 2018 Workindenmark is organizing a recruitment event in cooperation with EURES Spain and the Spanish medical association. The event addresses medical specialists and will be marketed by EURES Spain and promoted by the Spanish medical association. Hospitals can advertise their job offers prior to the event, and conduct interviews with relevant and invited candidates. Workindenmark will inform candidates about job possibilities for medical specialists in Denmark. EXPOMEDICS Poland, Krakow: June 2 and Warsaw: June 3, 2018 This is a private job fair organized by Expomedics, targeted the health sector. Workindenmark expects to meet medical specialists in different specialties. Job vacancies will be advertised prior to the job fair on the website of Expomedics.
