12 Budgets, Grant Rates and Timescales Average project budget 65-75kpa / per associate; 27k- 35k (employment budget) + 6k (T&S, Cons., Training); SMEs up to 67% grant ( ~ 22kpa cash contribution); Large companies up to 50% grant (~ 33kpa); Project duration 6 36months; Submission windows every 2-m; Decision within 4-weeks and free to appoint / recruit thereafter; 100% application success rate (WoS KTP Centre);

19 2012 UK KTP Award Finalists now recognised as a global leader in this emerging technology; achieved turnover growth of 40% from 2010 to 2012; created a manufacturing toolbox, to produce a wide variety of chip designs; has manufactured QCLs for systems that detect explosives at a safe distance and can counter heat-seeking missile attacks on aircraft (a world first); KTP Associate retained as Senior Engineer;
