1 Recreational Sports Journal Editorial Board Application Application Deadline: January 17, 2017 The Recreational Sports Journal (RSJ) is the scholarly publication of NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation. Its purpose is to provide a source of empirical, theoretical, and applied research to the field of campus recreation. Topics of interest to the RSJ include, but are not limited to, leadership, student development, programming, facility management and design, legal issues, personnel management and supervision, assessment, sponsorship, fundraising, marketing, and organizational development. Dr. Paul Milton of Cleveland State University has been the editor-in-chief of the Recreational Sports Journal since The RSJ Editorial Board has the capacity for 20 NIRSA members, serving staggered three-year terms, who review submitted manuscripts as assigned by the editor-in-chief. The expectations of a member of the RSJ Editorial Board include: Peruse the on-line tutorial training session for ScholarOne Manuscripts Be available to meet with the RSJ Editorial Board during the Annual Conference Serve a three-year term on the RSJ Editorial Board, beginning May 1, 2017 Maintain professional NIRSA Membership during the entire appointment to the Editorial Board Review assigned manuscripts within the allocated time period Assist with the selection of the Presidential Award for the best article published each year Encourage authors to submit articles Application due: January 17, Once you have completed this form in full, please create an and attach this form and your resume or vita and send to Ruben Guzman at: ruben.guzman@nirsa.org.
