Please note that the 2013 Aerospace Spotlight Awards Gala is organized according to government directives. 3 General Information Gala Table Registration Form If you would like to purchase a table, or multiple tables, please complete and return the registration form along with payment to AIAA no later than 1 February AIAA will confirm receipt. Government Guest Invitations AIAA will issue gala invitations to government officials based upon lists received from organizations. In addition, please note that invitations will be automatically sent to some members of Congress, as well as those holding key government offices. These officials will be available for placement at all tables, once RSVPs have been received. Each table may designate up to four seats (two couples) per table for government guests. Please provide full contact information, including full name, DoD room number, Pentagon code, NASA code, full business address, telephone and fax number, and for all government officials you wish to have AIAA invite to the gala; incomplete lists will be returned to you and will delay the invitation process. An Excel spreadsheet is preferred. Please submit a list of sufficient length to allow for duplicate nominations and regrets. Your list should have at least six to ten times the number of nominees that you are requesting. If a large number of your nominees are top-level officials, please adjust your list accordingly. Please list your government nominees in the order of your preference. To receive equal consideration for placement of government guests, you must submit your list to AIAA by 1 February Guest lists received after 1 February will be accommodated as best as possible. Point of Contact Please note that AIAA will direct all communication to the point of contact listed on the completed registration form. AIAA does not send individual invitations to company employees you designate to sit at your table(s); this will be the responsibility of the company point of contact. Venue The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center is located at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC The International Trade Center is within walking distance of the White House, the Capitol, Smithsonian museums, and many of Washington, DC s finest hotels, and is easily accessible from three major international airports Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA) Airport, Washington Dulles International (IAD) Airport, and Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) Thurgood Marshall Airport. The Federal Triangle metro station (orange/blue lines) is located on site, and the Metro Center metro station (red line) is just two blocks away. For drivers, an underground parking garage is available with access via 13½ Street and via two entrances on 14th Street.

5 2013 Aerospace Spotlight Awards Award recipients will be announced in January AIAA Foundation Award for Excellence Presented to recognize unique contributions and extraordinary accomplishments by organizations or individuals. AIAA Foundation Educator Achievement Awards Presented to recognize exemplary efforts in facilitating the continued study of mathematics, science, and related technical studies among America s youth. Barry M. Goldwater Educator Award Presented by the AIAA National Capital Section to recognize an individual of national stature who has supported the advancement of science and technology in commerce and education at all levels. Distinguished Service Award Presented to recognize an AIAA member who has provided service to the Institute over a period of years. Goddard Astronautics Award Presented to honor notable achievement in the field of astronautics. This award honors Robert H. Goddard, rocket visionary, pioneer, bold experimentalist, and superb engineer, whose early liquid rocket engine launches opened up the world of astronautics. International Cooperation Award Presented to recognize an individual or individuals who have made significant contributions to the initiation, organization, implementation, and/or management of activities with significant United States involvement that includes extensive international cooperative activities in space, aeronautics, or both. Public Service Award Presented to honor an individual outside the aerospace community who has shown consistent and visible support for national aviation and space goals. Reed Aeronautics Award Presented to honor notable achievement in the field of aeronautics. This award honors Dr. Sylvanus A. Reed, an aeronautical engineer, designer, and founding member of the Institute of the Aeronautical Sciences Fellows and Honorary Fellows Fellows and Honorary Fellows will be announced in January 2013.
