13 SSW Vendor Database When SSW needs to find subcontractors, it looks to the SSW Vendor Database (SSWVDB) for help. When a subcontract scope has been defined, the (SSWVDB) is queried for firms that provide the required scope. Review and update vendor profile in SSWVDB Provide completed Questionnaire to SSW To be ed/faxed to interested firms Meet with SSW Engineers SSW to provide on-going updates to all SSWVDB firms. 13

18 BAPLA History & Activity Department of Public Works launches BAPLA in March The Program is administered by the CAO Office of Risk Management Victor Parker and Curtis Kelley June, 2006 Mayor Villaraigosa announced the City wide expansion of the BAPLA as a tool to increase participation of small, minority, women and disadvantaged local businesses BAPLA has Enrolled over 200 Contractors into the Program since 2005! Today the Program is supported by Public Works, DWP, LAWA & POLA Since 2005, BAPLA has successfully helped contractors bid on over $161 Million in City projects, of which $63 Million has been awarded to contractors.
