Thursday, April 26 7:30 a.m. Registration Continental Breakfast, Exhibit Area 8:30 a.m. Call to Order/Welcome/Introductions Jerry Cantrell, Chairman, Strategic Technology Committee; Senior Vice President and Senior IT Officer, First Citizens National Bank, Dyersburg, Tenn. 8:45 a.m. General Session #1 (Keynote) The Need for Speed: Innovation in an Era of Digital Transformation Jackson Hataway, Ph.D., Senior Consultant, Strategic Arts & Sciences, Jefferson City, Mo. Digital transformation is a topic near the top of the agenda for every community bank in the country. Whether the goal is efficiency, growth, profitability, or a mixture of all of these, banks have recognized that leveraging digital technologies to transform themselves in innovative and intelligent ways is the only way to meet the rapidly evolving demands of consumers and businesses. The core dilemma for many bank management teams is knowing where and how to focus with limited resources. Disruption in everything from payment systems to service delivery channels to data security can make it seem as if your bank is pulled in every direction at once. How do you cut through the noise to identify the best path forward for your bank? Join Jackson Hataway for an engaging session on developing a model for strategic innovation within your bank that can enable you to capture the momentum of digital transformation without becoming lost in the digital wilderness.

Noon-1:15 p.m. Lunch Exhibit Area 1:15-2:25 p.m. Concurrent Workshops Workshop #1 (Executive/Operations Track) Information Technology versus Information Security Marc Brawner, CISSP, CRISC, QSA, Principal, Cyber Security and Investigations, Kroll Associates Inc, Nashville, Tenn. Facilitator: David Baker, Reliant Bank, Columbia, Tenn. IT versus IS how are they different? Why is it important to separate the two (governance, staffing, funding, etc.)? This session, with Marc Brawner, is intended to provide bank management with an understanding of properly managing and funding Information Technology separately from Information Security. Workshop #2 (Technical Track) Incidence Response/Forensics Bill Dean, Senior Manager, LBMC Information Security, Knoxville, Tenn. Facilitator: Tina Winfree, CedarStone Bank, Lebanon, Tenn. This will be an interactive table-top session that demonstrates how tabletops are a low-cost approach to performing incident response exercises. Banks are dealing increasingly with complex threats. In this session with presenter Bill Dean, you will learn about different incidences, the analysis of the response to these threats, and the reasons for performing incident response tabletop exercises. Dean will also discuss the process for designing tabletop exercises.

5 2:25-2:45 p.m. Break Exhibit Area Coffee sponsored by First National Banker s Bank, Birmingham, Ala. 2:45-3:55 p.m. Concurrent Workshops Workshop #3 (Executive/Operations Track) Hacking the Users: Developing the Human Sensor and Firewall Erich Kron, CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, MCITP, ITIL v3, Security Awareness Advocate, KnowBe4, Clearwater, Fla. Facilitator: Stephen Jaquish, Wilson Bank & Trust, Lebanon, Tenn. CEO fraud, W-2 fraud, and ransomware all have one thing in common: they are commonly spread by phishing attacks. Phishing attacks have made ransomware a $1 billion industry in 2016 with CEO fraud and W-2 fraud right there alongside it. As the bad guys get better, we must step up our game as well. Users are often overlooked as tools in your security program. In this session, Erich Kron will discuss how you can turn your users into effective attack sensors and human firewalls to keep your organization safe from social engineering attacks such as phishing, smishing, vishing, and hybrids. This session will cover: Current phishing trends and scams The real goal of security awareness training Dealing with the politics of phishing your users Making your security awareness training count Dealing with repeat offenders Workshop #4 (Technical Track) The Interactive ATM: Capabilities and Implementation Tim Leonard, Senior Vice President/Chief Information Officer, Commercial Bank of Texas, Nacogdoches, Texas Facilitator: Christopher Loyd, Elliott Davis LLC, Franklin, Tenn. There is a lot of talk about branch transformation and the role of interactive ATMs. This technology is not out of reach of the small community bank, but you have to approach the project with open eyes. The vendors will sell you machines, but the real work is done by your bank s staff. Successfully implementing ITMs is a complex endeavor, and there is no reason to repeat others mistakes. Join Tim Leonard as he explains the machines, their capabilities, and how his bank implemented this new technology. 3:55-4:15 p.m. Break Exhibit Area Coffee sponsored by First National Banker s Bank, Birmingham, Ala. 4:15-5:25 p.m. Concurrent Workshops Workshop #5 (Executive/Operations Track) Darwinism via Forensics Bill Dean, Senior Manager, LBMC Information Security, Knoxville, Tenn. Facilitator: Jason Doggett, Bank of Frankewing, Frankewing, Tenn. Digital forensics is a real game changer in most types of investigations. Our society leaves digital fingerprints with computers, phones, Internet activity, etc. with almost everything we do. Even while knowing the power of digital forensics, people still often choose to do questionable things using technology. Join Bill Dean in this session to learn more about digital forensics and how it plays a huge part in today s technical world.

6 Thursday, April 26, Continued 4:15-5:25 p.m. Concurrent Workshops, Continued Workshop #6 (Technical Track) Digital Signatures in Banking Brian Felker, Vice President of Sales, SIGNiX, Chattanooga, Tenn. Since the passage of the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act in June 2000 ( E-Sign ), the world has gone digital. People routinely contract, purchase product, and execute any number of agreements online. Today, many online businesses particularly banks still struggle with understanding some of the requirements of E-Sign and related regulations and best practices for banks. Lee Wetherington, AAP, Director of Strategic Insight, Jack Henry & Associates, Valdosta, GA When assessing disruptive potential in financial services, should banks be more concerned about FinTechs or BigTechs? Knowing the difference between partners and competitors is the first step in developing proper strategy and tactics and remaining viable. How are banks distinguishing true competitors from true partners (real threats from hyped threats)? Are community banks too small to partner one-to-one with FinTechs of choice? If so, are there other ways to do so? And what does the BigTech threat mean for community banks as payments get faster and fraud risk rises in the wake of record-setting breaches like Equifax? Join Lee Wetherington for a bottom-line review of new opportunities and risks facing community banks now. 11:15 a.m. Closing Comments/Adjourn Thank You to our Sponsors Pocket Agenda Continental Breakfast on Friday Coffee Breaks Conference Speakers Augenbaum Brawner Brewer Cheney DaSilva Dean Felker Hataway Hurd Kron Leonard Mays Robertson Wetherington
