American Mathematical Society - AMS Centennial Fellowships Program makes awards annually to outstanding mathematicians to help further their careers in research Phillips Exeter Academy - Writer in Residence (Gege Bennett Fellowship) The purpose of the Gege Bennett Fellowship is to provide time and freedom from material considerations to a person seriously contemplating pursuing a career as a writer. American Society of Composer, Auths and Publishers (ASCAP) - The Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Awards The Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Awards are granted annually to encourage talented young jazz composers. The winning composers will share over $30,000 in ASCAP Foundation Awards. 3 Woodrow Wilson Center - East European Studies Research Grants Offers residential research scholar grants to scholars wking on policy relevant projects on East Europe. While Southeast Europe remains a primary focus, projects on Central Europe and the Baltic states are again eligible. Projects should focus on fields in the social sciences and humanities including, but not limited to: Anthropology, Histy, Political Science, Slavic Languages and Literatures, and Sociology. Virginia Foundation f the Humanities - Fellowship Program Offers residential fellowships to scholars and writers in the humanities. Stanfd University - Stanfd Creative Writing Program -- Wallace Stegner Fellowship Stanfd offers ten two-year fellowships each year, 5 in fiction and 5 in poetry. There are no curricular requirements other than wkshop attendance and writing. The program offers no degree.
