2 USF welcomes the opportunity to work collaboratively with our neighbors to develop mutually acceptable solutions
3 What our neighbors have said the university administration and community members to take immediate, short-term, and long-term steps to alleviate the impact of car trips and parking generated by activities at USF letter 6/5/13 What does USF do now to prevent students from bringing cars? What specifically will USF do to improve parking in September?
4 USF Planning Process and Traffic Management Institutional Master Plan present UTA Settlement Agreement: Traffic, Parking, Behavior, Noise, Construction 66 obligations: 50 complete; 7 in progress; 8 TBD, 1 mtg cancelled/ mutually agreed Traffic studies: Fehr & Peers Traffic Consultants Traffic Impact Study, Traffic Calming, TDM Collaborative: Community Meetings, Committee meetings, working sessions.
5 Beyond the letter of agreements:! Over 60 meetings in 2 ½ years on traffic calming and master plan development (small groups, committees & town halls) Added 3 full-time staff to manage delivery/vendor traffic, offcampus housing and community relations, neighborhood planning of IMP Developed and/or expanded programs to improve student conduct & neighborhood relations. Added a neighborhood trash pick-up function up 6 students for up to 80hrs/wk.
6 Transportation Demand Management Transportation demand management is the application of strategies and policies to reduce travel demand (specifically that of single-occupancy private vehicles), or to redistribute this demand in space or in time USF has had a TDM Plan since 1980 USF IMP proposes enhancements to current TDM
7 USF Transportation Demand Management Fehr & Peers developed TDM enhancements based upon their studies in the surrounding area

30 What specifically will USF do that will produce an obvious improvement in the parking and traffic situation as of this September? 4) Expand Marketing discourage cars in Welcome Guide 14, FAQs, Send-Offs 5) Pay the yearly registration fee for undergraduates Zipcar membership 6) Have continuing students register license plates along with off- campus housing address 7) New survey to determine impact of past two years improvements
