Welcome to One World Institute A Foundation for Health and Education 501C3 USA and Philippines 2014

Always practice the Art of Giving in a vibrant and joyful manner.

A community center on stilts doubles as a warehouse for assembled wheelchairs. OUR MISSION: To serve the poorest of the poor regardless of class, tribal affiliation, or religion.

What We Do Medical Assistance Health Education Disaster Relief Livelihood Projects Conflict Resolution Wheelchairs for Peace in Cambodia ART FOR PEACE: Hiding in Fear

Over $100 million US dollars in charitable donations to date! One World Institute (OWI) is a Northern California-based non - profit, public benefit corporation. OWI is registered as a 501(c) 3 organization with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Franchise Tax Board in the State of California as well as a charity organization with the Philippines' Securities and Exchange Commission. Individual and corporate donations create tax benefits for the donor, as allowed by law.

DISASTER RELIEF MISSIONS

The UN says 9.5 million are affected out of a population of 103 million. Every dollar counts. The survivors of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) If every person takes out his/her credit card and pledges $100.00/month for one year, we can prevent many deaths for at least 12 months. Your $100 feeds 40 families a day.

HOW A RELIEF MISSION FLOWS SMOOTHLY RAPID ACTION SAVES LIVES! A. 1 mo. 3 years 1.Rescue Equipment Move In 2.Medical Triage Units Rush In 3.Shelter, Food, Water, Clothing Move in B. 1-5 years 1.Housing Materials Move in 2.Building takes place 3.Relocation, repatriation 4.Livelihood projects 5.No. 2-1 above continue OWI has 20 years of experience with all components and provides dull accounting for donors.

DIRECT FROM YOLANDA ORTEGA STERN: OWI sources everything including the food, water and rice locally and from as far away as Mindoro. We buy at cost or at huge discounts from our private network of suppliers. We are in a position to move and mobilize quickly. READINESS is KEY. The first 24 hours IS CRITICAL for saving lives. Pre-positioned triage mobile clinics for quick deployment are very badly needed, as well as volunteer emergency medical teams in every area.

One World Institute s ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION PROJECTS Pearls for Peace a project for the soul. Featuring Basil Anik, Artist Artisan Craftsmanship From the Seas of Southern Philippines

In areas where war can wreak havoc and destroy communities, a sustainable livelihood through the artisan craftsmanship of these pearls for peace saves many lives. We thank you for making it possible for Basil Anik and his apprentices to continue creating one-of-a-kind brooches. Basil learned how to make brooches from a do it yourself (DIY) book.

THE BROOCHES Sulu Wildlife Series Brooches Material.999 Silver from Tongkil Island and Sulu Mother of Pearl The traditional brooches depict fruits and flowers of Sulu. The pins are worn by both male and female for the sablay --- or to hold a shirt closed or to keep a scarf secure. Men wear it on their lapels and women pin it to their head scarves. There are many uses for the pin, so let your imagination go to work.
