We have been providing telecommunications services since 1907 to the Village of Grantsburg and the following townships: Anderson, Daniels, Grantsburg, Trade Lake, West Marshland, Wood River, and Sterling. Grantsburg Telcom, established in 1995, is a subsidiary company of Farmers Independent Telephone Company. Grantsburg Telcom provides Cable TV, Internet Service, and Long Distance services. 3 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month Community Referral Agency, Inc. will be hosting an event titled, "Create, Survive, Thrive", on Friday, October 15th at Crex Conventions (T-Dawg's) from 7-9 pm. We would like for survivors (male and female--any age group) of domestic violence who would like to share their art, poetry, music or writing talent to call Renee' at to reserve their spot at the open mic. Also, we will be showing the powerful and riveting brand new film, "Telling Amy's Story". 6 Fall Wildlife Festival Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 8am to 5pm Experience the Wildlife Area during the cool, crisp autumn, which is arguably the best time of year to be at Crex! Free food (brats and burgers) in celebration of Friends of Crex s 25 th Anniversary. Participate in bus tours of the wildlife areas to view the wildlife and learn about the history and management of Crex Meadows. Visit the education booths on the east lawn to learn about wild edibles, mushrooms and plants. Listen to the speakers in the auditorium and learn about the wildlife found in the area.
