1 ACTION PLANNING 1. Select one of your regional leader goals. As you begin crafting your action plan, think about the benefits of the goal, perhaps by asking why Rotary wants to achieve it and how your region and each district would benefit from it. Then, decide what steps to take to achieve each goal. Consider who in your regional leader team will work with you, which district leaders to involve, and the timeline you will follow. 2. Identify support and resources. Think of resources you will use to achieve your goals and to measure your progress. Identify strategies to keep others accountable for their assignments. 3. Continue your action planning and show your goals. Use the additional grids to continue to set targets for all of your goals and work on action plans for each. Show your completed plans to your regional leader team. GOAL 1 Benefits to achieving this goal In collaboration with your End Polio Now zone coordinator, promote World Polio Day (24 October) and other polio-related events throughout the year to maintain focus on polio eradication; encourage district leaders to increase giving to PolioPlus World polio - free KEY STEPS Regularly update your district leaders on polio eradication efforts, World Polio Day events, and other polio-related activities. Plan a meeting with your regional team and EPNZC to discuss ideas for increasing awareness of World Polio Day and other polio-related activities. Host a World Polio Day event during zone team training. Promote World Polio Day and other polio-related activities to districts in newsletters, social media, and at district and regional seminars. TIMELINE Every quarter. 24 May 2018 July 2018 Encourage districts to give 20 percent of their District Designated Funds to PolioPlus or cash equivalent and increase club giving to PolioPlus. July

5 GOAL 3 Benefits to achieving this goal Assist district chairs in helping clubs find international partners, complete community assessments, and use all of their District Designated Funds (DDF) each year. Increase service projects. KEY STEPS Participate in project fairs and talk with other RRFCs, Rotarian Action Groups, and districts outside your region to find partners for global grant activities. Work with your district international service chairs to find local grant experts who can help clubs and districts design more sustainable and effective projects.
