30 CONVOCATION STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND New Student Convocation is an important institutional milestone for incoming new students as it marks their induction into the academic community of CWU. Just as graduation commencement marks the completion of study, convocation signals the beginning of a student s college career. This is an intentionally symbolic experience designed to focus attention on academic excellence, integrity, and achievement. It is also hoped that this convocation will elicit a sense of shared community, pride, and institutional tradition. Students are to wear CWU gear and/or CWU colors only (crimson, black, white). TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 11:00 A.M. - NOON NICHOLSON PAVILION CWU TRADITIONS KEEPER BOOKS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED AS YOU DEPART. DOWNLOAD THE WILDCAT TRADITIONS APP IN THE APP OR PLAY STORE! 30
