1 SWAMP BOWL EST GAIN ESVILLE, FL SWAMP BOWL FLAG FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT of Florida Gainesville, FL
2 A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR OCTOBER 2014 Swamp Bowl participants, volunteers and all involved: It is with great pleasure that I welcome all participants, officials and volunteers to Gainesville and the of Florida for the 27th annual Swamp Bowl. Our staff is excited to offer Swamp Bowl, a tournament with a long history of competitive excellence. We are especially excited this year to be a NIRSA Championship Series tournament host and to provide a Special Olympics tournament. The quality of Swamp Bowl and of the teams the tournament attracts have led to these new opportunities. The UF Department of Recreational Sports takes great pride in offering an outstanding flag football tournament on what are arguably the best recreation fields in the country. Our staff members take great pride in giving a little extra in preparing the fields for the Swamp Bowl. Swamp Bowl 2014 will be played on the southwest corner of our campus. Hopefully, you will take the time to ride through our beautiful campus during your stay in Gainesville. If you re lucky you might even see a real Gator along the banks of Lake Alice. Please let the UF staff know if there is anything we can do to make your visit more enjoyable. Good luck to all involved in this year s tournament. I trust you will have a terrific experience. Sincerely, David Bowles, Director Department of Recreational Sports
