5 Lafayette Science Council is having an informational meeting on September 5th in Room 242. All are invited to attend, including those who are going into STEM based careers.

6 HOSA Future Health Professionals will hold its 1 ST meeting on Tues, Aug 28th at 3:30 p.m. & Wed, Aug 29th at 7:40 a.m. in Room 236. Students who are interested in joining HOSA only need to attend 1 of the 2 meeting times. See Mrs. Keillor in Room 236 with any questions. See you there!

9 SuperFan Passes will be on sale at all 3 lunches this week. The SuperFan pass gives the holder free admission to all home basketball, football & wrestling events in a special seating section. Passes come with a free SuperFan T shirt!

10 BOYS BASKETBALL Any player interested in playing boys basketball this season should attend a meeting in Coach Landwehr's classroom, Room 163, at 8:00 AM on WEDNESDAY August 29th. The pre season training program and other details for the upcoming season will be discussed. If you are unable to attend, please visit Coach Landwehr to get the necessary information.

14 Are you interested in taking a practice ACT test? Sylvan will be at Lafayette on Saturday, October 6th to give a practice ACT to all students interested. The cost is only $ You can get a sign up sheet in any grade level office or in Guidance. The deadline to sign up is October 1st and it is first come, first serve. Hurry and sign up!

15 Model UN will have its 1 st meeting of the year this Thursday 8/30 after school in Room 127. All are welcome to attend!

16 The yearbook staff is looking for experienced student photographers to take pictures at events & sports this year. If you are interested, please join us for a meeting Thursday Aug. 30 either before school at 8 a.m. or after school at 3:30 p.m. for more information. We hope to see you there!

17 Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is having their annual Kick Off huddle meeting on Thurs 8/30 at 6:15 on the practice football field. Come straight from practice for food, fun, and fellowship.

19 Video Game Club will have its 1 st meeting of the year on Wednesday, August 29th. Come join us after school in Mr. O'Gorman's room, Rm 136. Hope to see you there!

20 SENIORS Class of 2019 senior shirts will be on sale August 31 through September 2. Order your senior shirts through Parent Pay Online or you can pay with cash or check during lunch on Wednesday, August 29 through Friday, August 31. Lunch orders will take place during all three lunch shifts. Please stop by the Senior Office, room 215, for more information if needed.

21 Our Spanish classes have 2 amazing trips planned for this year! We are headed to Ecuador over Spring Break & Argentina/Chile this summer! These trips are in popular demand so we have limited spaces open! If you re interested in either one, stop by Room 219 to talk to Mrs. Kozlowski for more information as soon as possible. French and Latin also have super exciting trips planned! For more information on the trip to France, stop by Room 228 to talk to Ms. Ryan. For information on the trip to Italy and Greece, stop by room 227 to talk to Ms. Osborn!

22 Key Club will be having its 1 st meeting of the year on Wednesday, August 29 7 PM in the Commons. You can pick up an application ahead of time in Rm 223. Everyone is welcome!

23 This Thursday, Aug 30th, Mr. DeBlasi will be hosting the 1st meeting of the Jewish Student Union in Room 116 immediately after school. You don't have to be Jewish, everyone is welcome. There's pizza, great conversation & Rabbi Yitz will be there too.

24 Any freshman interested in running for class office should go to the Freshman office to pick up an application. Applications are due August 30.
