Receive technical instruction from an elite coaching staff that is knowlegeable and passionate. Our kicking, punting, and long snapping coaches will help every athlete attain their maximum level of performance. Camp Features, Benefits, Value & Experience By providing snap-to-kick instruction, kickers, punters, and long snappers are provided a very unique opportunity to train and develop together putting them in a game situation every practice with one-on-one instruction. Participants will receive coaching from knowledgeable and passionate instructors. All levels of kickers, punters, and long snappers are encouraged to attend the camp. Players will be in groups according to age and their present level of skill. Players can participate as both a kicker and punter if desired. Our training techniques guide participants through a skilllearning process, where every teaching experience has a purpose. This allows our staff to identify each participant s personal needs and develop their skills. During practice, each participant will receive an in-depth, comprehensive review of the skills and fundamentals they have learned. This will allow them to continue to develop these same techniques in a systematic order that simulates a game situation. Our goal is to encourage each athlete to continue to raise the bar throughout the entire camp. Over 103,000 Sports International athletes have gone through our football programs over the past 34 years. Because of our commitment to individual instruction, must limit the number of participants. Our philosophy is simple teach each athlete to be the very best kicker, punter, or long snapper they can be! Our coaching staff is made up of fantastic coaches for kickers, punters, and long snappers. They will offer each player an enormous amount of encouragement with an enormous amount of enthusiasm! We promise each player will go home not only a better kicker, punter, or long snapper, but also a more positive, optimistic person. Health and Safety. A full-time staff of certified trainers will be on duty during the camp. Background checks will be conducted on all staff, coaches and volunteers. Eligibility. In accordance with NCAA regulations and state rules, players in high school are eligible to attend the camp without jeopardizing their athletic eligibility. Division 2, 3 & NAIA student athletes can attend a kicking, punting and long snapping camp without jeopardizing their athletic eligibility. Approval from your college coach is recommended. The kicking, punting and long snapping camps meet ALL NCAA and state eligibility rules. Football Equipment Needed. All particpants: At least one football (put your name on the football,) water bottle, and sunscreen. Place Kickers: Kicking shoes, kicking tee, kicking block, holder. Hotel Accommodations Available. As a volunteer, you will receive housing, all-you-can-eat meals, staff shirts, and more importantly, you will share some quality time with your son (or players) that you will never forget. What is expected of me if I volunteer? To supervise and have fun with your son (or players) and a small group of players during academy. To be a counselor, you must stay during the entire academy. Day Camper volunteers are welcome to volunteer for the day session. Volunteers are hired on a first contract received, first hired basis, and the limited number of positions we have available will fill up very fast. 4 Page 4 Mike Hollis Career Highlights Mike Hollis played for the Jacksonville Jaguars from Buffalo Bills in 2002 and finished his career with the New York Giants in In 1997 with the Jaguars, Hollis led all NFL players with 134 points scored, and went on to represent the AFC in the Pro Bowl in Hollis currently holds the Jaguars record for field goals in a year, with 31, as well as field goal percentage in a year with 92.3%. He also ranks second in team history in total points scored, behind only Josh Scobee. Hollis made a total of 200 field goals during his 9 year NFL career. Hollis presently ranks in the top 20 in overall field goal accuracy in NFL history, and has worked with five different Pro Bowl punters during his NFL career. Hollis played in college for Idaho and was one ofthe top kickers in their history, Hollis set a standard of accuracy that has not been repeated. In 1993, Hollis made 68 consecutive extra points on 68 attempts. His 68-of-68 tally on extra points is also an NCAA record for the best perfect record of extra points made and for the highest percentage of extra points made. His 56-yard field goal against Northern Arizona in 1993 is the longest in school history. Having the opportunity to have Mike as a teammate for an entire year was one of the best things that happened to me in my career. He was like having a personal coach on the sidelines for every practice and every game. He has the ability to see little things in technique and form that helped me go from just another punter, to an alternate for the Pro Bowl in 2002, to later being a two-time All Pro. McDaniel College is convenient to the Washington/Baltimore corridor! This beautiful campus will provide not only a superior athletic experience, but a fun, comfortable, and relaxing stay. Cancellation Insurance & Refund Policy Pre-enrollment determines the number of staff hired and the number of campers guaranteed to the University. With this in mind, the deposits are non-refundable for any reason. Any additional tuition paid is non-refundable for any reason other than medical or if you have taken out cancellation insurance. MEDICAL REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AFTER 45 DAYS BEFORE THE START OF CAMP NO EXCEPTIONS! Requests for medical refunds, less the non-refundable deposit must be in writing accompanied by a physician s letter of explanation prior to 45 days before the start of camp.
