1 BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND Led by the President and Chancellor, selected seasoned professionals and experts in their respective field comprise the Board of Trustees and the Leadership Team who were tapped to share their knowledge and know how in the operations and administration of the institution. 2
2 09 BOARD OF TRUSTEES Board of Trustees The BOT Members are futures thinking men and women in our larger community who could help the institution realize the four key strategic intents, which are anchored on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), goals that also parallel to the primary thrusts of the global Lasallian family and the Catholic Church worldwide. The Board of Trustees plays a central role in pursuit to have a positive impact on the youth and communities it serves and aim to become a resource for the community and the nation anchored in the Four Strategic Intents. A primary responsibility of a member of the Trustees is to participate in the development of policy and major decision-making and to be actively participate in on an ongoing basis in a Board Committee, including but not limited to, the Executive Finance Committee and the Risk Management, Audit and Compliance Committee. BR. RAYMUNDO B. SUPLIDO FSC Chairman, Board of Trustees Br. Raymundo Ray B. Suplido FSC is the President of De La Salle University Manila. He is also a member of Board of Trustees of Luzon-based La Salle schools and other institutions like St. Paul University Iloilo, Philippine Educ. Retirement and Annuity Association (PERAA) and Philippine Catechetical & Religious Education Foundation (PHILCARE). He also served as the President and Chancellor of University of St. La Salle Bacolod and General Councilor of the De La Salle Brothers in Rome, Italy. Br. Ray completed his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with high distinction from De La Salle University. He also had his Licentiate in Clinical Psychology, graduated Magna Cum Laude, from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. Br. Ray had his final vows in June 1972.
3 10 MOST REVEREND RAMON C. ARGUELLES, DD. STL BR. FELIPE C. BELLEZA, JR. FSC Arch. Ramon C. Arguelles, DD. STL is the 5th Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Lipa. Prior to his appointment as Archbishop, His Excellency served as the Auxilliary Bishop of Manila and Spiritual Director of the National Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement. Currently, Archbishop Arguelles is the Chair of the Permanent Committee on Public Affairs and Vice-Chair of the Episcopal Commission on Catechesis and Catholic Education. Archbishop Arguelles completed his Sacred Theology Licentiate at the Angelicum, Rome. He also had religious studies in France, North Wales, Germany and Paris. His early ministry as priest started as a professor, parish priest, and Rector & Chaplain of Filipinos in Rome, Italy. Br. Felipe C. Belleza, Jr. FSC is the Director of Residencia De La Salle, a residential health care facility for the Brothers of the Lasallian East Asia District. He also served as the President of La Salle Academy Iligan, La Salle College Antipolo, and La Salle Green Hills. Early in his ministry, he taught Christian Living and acted as Campus Minsiter in St. Joseph High Bacolod and University of St. La Salle Bacolod. Currently, Br. Felipe is an accreditor of the Philippine Accrediting Association of s, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) and Chairman of the University of Games. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees in various La Salle schools in the country. Br. Felipe completed his MAT in Youth Ministry from the University of St. La Salle Bacolod and earned MA units in Theology at Maryhill of Theology. He had his final vows in April BOT and Leadership Team
4 05 BOARD OF TRUSTEES BR. AUGUSTINE L. BOQUER FSC MR. FRANCIS G. ESTRADA Board of Trustees Br. Augustine Gus Boquer FSC is the President of De La Salle University Dasmariñas and De La Salle - Health Sciences Institute. His professional affiliations in various La Salle institutions, locally and abroad, made it possible for Br. Gus to initiate major projects in academics and campus development to include the opening of Junior High and Senior High at DLSU Dasmariñas, the founding of Medical Arts Center at DLSU Medical Center, the formation of Residencia De La Salle - residential health care facilities for the Brothers of Lasallian East Asia District, and the establishment of endowment fund for charity patients of DLSU Medical Center. Br. Gus completed his Doctor of Education, with highest honors, at the University of St. La Salle Bacolod, where his doctoral dissertation Conflict Resolution: A Lasallian Experiential Model was hailed as the Most Outstanding Dissertation. He also earned his MA in Educational Administration and Leadership, with honors, at St. Mary s College of California. Mr. Francis G. Estrada is a specialist in investment and corporate finance. He engaged in various Asian and multinational finance and investment companies specializing in corporate restructuring and private equity investment transactions. He also served as a private financial adviser on major investment and corporate transactions handling the portfolio of strategic investments of major Southeast Asian business group and even international firms based in Hong Kong and India. He earned his MA in Business Management (MBM), with academic concentration in Finance and Marketing, at the Asian Institute of Management and graduated With Distinction. He finished Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the Harvard Business in 1989.
5 06 SR. MA. CORAZON P. MANALO, DC AFSC BR. DENNIS M. MAGBANUA FSC MS. ANNA CRISTINA M. GANZON Sr. Ma. Corazon Cora P. Manalo, DC AFSC is the Superintendent of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul (DC). She is also a member of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) National Tertiary Education Commission and the Founding Member of the Damdaming Katoliko sa Teologia (DaKaTeo). Sr. Cora also served as a Trustee of the Daughters of Charity St. Louise de Marillac Educational System Cluster s. Sr. Cora completed Doctor of Education at De La Salle University Manila with high distinction, receiving the Outstanding Dissertation Award. She also received the Benemeritus award in her MA in Education at the University of Sto. Tomas and completed special studies in Spanish Language from the Universidad de Madrid. Br. Dennis M. Magbanua FSC is the President of De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde since May He started his ministry handling Religion and P.E. classes prior to his various posts at the De La Salle Brothers Inc. as Postulancy Director, National Vocations Director and District Bursar. He also had academic appointment as Principal in La Salle Green Hills and St. Joseph Bacolod before his presidency posts in La Salle Academy Iligan, De La Salle Santiago Zobel and De La Salle College of St. Benilde. Br. Dennis earned his MA in Teaching in Youth Ministry in Bacolod City in 1996 and finished his doctoral degree in Educational Management in DLSU-Dasma in He had his final vows on October 19, Ms. Anna Cristina Tina M. Ganzon is the Strategic Support Group Head and Corporate Secretary of Bangko Kabayan, Inc, overseeing the operations of the Human Resource, General Services and Administration, and Marketing departments. She also served as the Assistant Secretary and Chief of Staff of the Department of Education handling communications and public relations matters of the Department. Armed with her strong background in Integrated Marketing Communications, she also worked as a media correspondent of The Manila Times and ABS-CBN Regional Network Group. Tina finished, with Distinction, Master of Arts in Advertising ( ) in Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology Australia and completed Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts, major in Print and Broadcast Journalism ( ) from De La Salle University. 6 07 BOARD OF TRUSTEES BR. EDMUNDO L. FERNANDEZ FSC DR. ROBERT M. MAGSINO Board of Trustees Br. Edmundo Dodo L. Fernandez FSC is the first Brother Visitor of the Lasallian East Asia District. Early in his ministry, he was assigned in various La Salle schools - as a teacher, administrative assistant, and school administrator - prior to his major responsibilities with the De La Salle Brothers as Chair of the Directors of all the Brothers Communities in the Philippines. He also acted as Chair of the Board of the different La Salle schools in the country. Br. Dodo earned his MA in Education, major in Religious and Values Education, from De La Salle University Manila in He also completed his baccalaureate degree in Fine Arts from UP Diliman. He has his final vows on May 15, Dr. Robert Bobby M. Magsino is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mary Mediatrix Medical Center (MMMC) in Lipa City, Batangas. He was named the Most Outstanding Physician of Lipa City by the Lipa City Medical Society and given the 2011 Gawad Paglilingkod Award by the Rotary Club of Metro Lipa. Dr. Magsino is also the President of the Board for the Good Samaritan Foundation of MMMC which had undertaken countless humanitarian endeavors to reach out to indigents who are in need of expert medical care and still continue to reach more. Dr. Bobby is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, American College of Gastroenterology, Philippine College of Physicians, Philippine Society of Gastroenterology and the Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy.
7 08 MRS. BERNARDITA M. MARALIT DR. CARMELITA I. QUEBENGCO DR. JOSELITO S. SANDEJAS Mrs. Bernardita Dita M. Maralit is a Trustee and Treasurer of the Pondong Batangan Community Foundation Inc., a Director for Bantayog Senior Citizens Cooperative and a Coordinator of the Cancer Warriors Foundation, Inc., Batangas (NGO). Her professional career included being Regional Director of NACIDA Region 4, Regional Director, for Regions 4A & 4B, of the Department of Trade and Industry, and Director Office of Special Concerns in DTI. Mrs. Dita Maralit is currently a member of St. John Mary Vianney Association of Lipa and the Handmaids of Carmel. Dr. Carmelita Lita I. Quebengco is Chancellor Emeritus and University Fellow at De La Salle University, where she also currently serves as the Consultant to the President. She also acted as the EVP-COO of De La Salle Philippines and was appointed by the Superior General of the Christian Brothers as Co-Secretary of the Lasallian Education Mission Office of the Institute of the Christian Brothers in Rome, Italy. As an educator, Dr. Lita has consistently lived her commitment to the Lasallian mission of service to the marginalized. Her research on Philippine indigenous education gave rise to the establishment of the Pundasyon Hanunuo Mangyan in the uplands of Southern Mindoro, where she developed a culturally specific basic education program for the poorest Hanunuo Mangyan children. In 2007, she founded the Rommel Quebengco Memorial Fund, which now supports the education of seven children of poor solo parents, as her loving tribute to her only son who has gone back to God in March Mr. Joselito Lito S. Sandejas, Ph.D. is the Chairman of the Diversified Holdings Inc., Primegates Property Inc., Sunoil Inc., Radix Inc., and Ostrea Mineral Laboratories Inc. He is also the Director of East West Banking Coroporation, TCGI Engineers and Takisha Phils. Inc. In the Education and Non-Government Unit sector, he also acts as the Chairman and President of MFI Foundation Inc. (formerly Meralco Foundation) and Chair of the St. Scholastica s College Research and Development Foundation Inc. Dr. Sandejas is a licensed Chemical Engineer (3rd Placer). He completed his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering and MS in Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, USA. He finished his baccalaureate degree in Chemical Engineering from De La Salle University. Board of Trustees
8 01 LEADERSHIP TEAM BR. DANTE JOSE R. AMISOLA FSC President and Chancellor Br. Dante Jose R. Amisola FSC is the President and Chancellor of De La Salle Lipa. He serves, in a concurrent capacity, as the Chair of the De La Salle Brothers, Inc. (DLSBI) Finance & Investments Board; Member of the De La Salle Philippines Investments Committee; Consultant of the De La Salle - College of St. Benilde s Social Innovation Hub (HiFi); and Moderator of the Young Brothers Conference of the De La Salle Brothers Philippines. He continues to sit as a Trustee in various Lasallian Boards. Leadership Team Br. Dante had specialized training on NGO / Volunteer Management in London, UK (2000) with VSO-UK, the largest volunteer-sending agency in Britain; on Lasallian Studies at the Centro Internationale Lasalliano (CIL) in Rome, Italy (2011); and on Finance at the INSEAD Business in Fontainebleau, France (2010). His most recent academic engagement was in pursuit of his passion and advocacy in Social Innovation and Development. As such, he undertook his Master of Social Entrepreneurship at the Hult International Business in San Francisco, California, USA ( ). Br. Dante completed his Master of Education at the De La Salle University - Manila (2001) where he graduated with distinction.
9 02 DR. ALICIA B. BOTARDO Vice Chancellor for Academics and Research MR. ARNOLD R. CAPULOY Chief Strategy and Advancement Officer Dr. Alicia Botardo is the Vice Chancellor for Academics and Research who leads in the promotion of new academic programs, educational innovation, and research output by providing leadership and guidance in all academic areas of. She previously served as Dean of College of Education, Arts and Sciences; Department Chair of Education and Social Sciences; and Academic Assistant in the Grade. Currently, she serves as memberrepresentative of Asia and Pacific Islands in the newly formed Committee on Internationalization under the International Association of La Salle Universities. As an educator, she participated in a number of professional and educational programs as well as leadership trainings locally and internationally, like International Association of La Salle Universities (IALU) Leadership Program, Japan International Cooperation Agency s Philippine-Japan Friendship Program for the 21st Century, The Rotary Foundation s Group Study Exchange Program, and Peace Education Conferences. Dr. Botardo earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Education Major in Educational Administration from the University of the Philippines Diliman as UP Presidential Scholar. She also completed from UP Diliman her Master of Education in Special Education. Her professional and research interests are in the areas of peace education, children s rights, and women s rights. Mr. Arnold R. Capuloy is the Chief Strategy and Advancement Officer who works closely with the President to ensure that strategic initiatives, at all levels of the organization, are in line with the institution s standards and objectives. He was the first administrator to be sent to St. Mary s College of California for a month-long in-service training that inspired the introduction of new systems at De La Salle Lipa. He had been leading the annual Lasallian Pilgrimage and Renewal Program (Sojourn) to Europe since 2009 and was recently designated as De La Salle Philippines Chair of the Sojourn Virtual Office and Head of the Sojourn Secretariat. Mr. Capuloy holds a Master in Management Technology degree (with Honors) and has held key positions including the seven (7) years as Presidential Management Office (PMO) Director. Likewise, he had served as a Public Relations Officer, Human Resource Manager, Finance and HR Director, and Linkages & International Relations Director. Leadership Team
10 03 LEADERSHIP TEAM MS. JHYN R. CONCORDIA Chief Finance Officer ENGR. JOSE MARIA RADITO ISIDRO S. FRIO Vice Chancellor for Administration Leadership Team Ms. Jhyn Concordia is the Chief Finance Officer handling the overall financial management of De La Salle Lipa. She takes charge in planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities, including other sources of income, to help address the financial needs of the Institution. Ms. Jhyn also served various key administrative positions in campus as the Vice Chancellor for Administration, Director for Finance, Human Resource and Purchasing Departments, Department Chair of the Accountancy Department, Finance Manager, and as Internal Auditor. Ms. Jhyn completed Master in Management Technology, as a Silver Awardee, at De La Salle Lipa. She also finished the Management Development Program at the Asian Institute of Management. She holds a bachelors degree in Accountancy from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Engr. Jose Maria Radito Isidro Sid Frio holds the Vice Chancellor for Administration position that provides direction in ensuring efficient and effective administrative operations to include human resources, general services, purchasing, and facilities planning. His industry experience in the Middle East as project engineer, quality assurance surveillor, control engineer, and structural quality control landed him in administrative posts at as General Services Manager, Special Projects Director and as Services Director. Engr. Sid is a licensed civil engineer and completed his Master in Management Technology at De La Salle Lipa.
11 04 MR. JOSE ORLANDO I. LOZADA Chief Technology and Innovation Officer MRS. VIOLETA D. RAMIREZ Vice Chancellor for Mission Mr. Jose Orlando Lozada is the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer who is at the forefront of making De La Salle Lipa a digital campus, and leads the community towards an experience-led digital platform. His work experience as a team leader of PREGINET Project Management and Business Development Team of the DOST Advanced Science and Technology Institute, and Head of Network Operations and Technical Support Head of Net Curricula Inc. equipped him with innovation techniques to aid the Institution. He also served as the Administrator of the Academic Support Services Unit of La Salle College Antipolo. Mr. Lozada completed his MA in Technology Management from the University of the Philippines Diliman as a University and College Scholar Awardee and finished his baccalaureate degree in Commerce major in Business Management from De La Salle University as a full scholar of the Coca-Cola Foundation. Mrs. Violeta Vio D. Ramirez is the Vice Chancellor for Mission who leads the overall development and implementation of the Lasallian mission objectives and programs - encompassing student formation and development, Lasallian Family formation, community engagement, scholarship, and sports and culture. Ms. Vio s early engagement at started as an English and Filipino Curriculum Coordinator, as High Assistant Principal and as the Integrated Principal. She also served as the Community Involvement Office Director prior her current position. Ms. Vio is a textbook writer of Don Bosco Press for almost 25 years. She earned her MA in Leadership from De La Salle University and completed her baccalaureate degree in Secondary Education, graduated Cum Laude, from the Philippine Normal University.
