Mike has almost twenty-three years of experience in working with businesses, owners, and executives in the areas of federal and state income tax, mergers and acquisitions, structuring, and strategic planning in such industries as manufacturing, construction, real estate, engineering, law, medicine, and technology. Graduating summa cum laude as a Taylor Medalist with a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree at Ole Miss in 1994, he went on to earn a Master of Accountancy with Tax Emphasis in 1995, also at Ole Miss. Having practiced in Big Six/Big Four/national firms for many years, Mike has worked with GranthamPoole since He has spoken and taught in many venues over the years and is an active member of both the AICPA and the MSCPA, having previously served as a member of the MSCPA Taxation Committee. Besides being published by various magazines, journals and newspapers, Bill and his partner Dom have co-authored multiple books and resources on Succession. In 1999 he received a 21-month prison sentence for conspiracy to commit mail fraud, wire fraud and money laundering crimes that took place four years earlier. On November 4th, 1999, he reported to the Federal Prison in Yankton, South Dakota and his career and his life were changed forever. Since 2001, Jerome has been working internationally for dozens of professional trade associations and Fortune 500 companies, speaking on the topics of fraud and ethics. He is also the author of the books, Diary of a White Collar Criminal and Mortgage Fraud and Predatory Lending. Today he delivers keynote presentations and workshops on the true-life consequences of fraud and the importance of making the best ethical decisions in impossible situations. His cutting edge, interactive workshops cover topics ranging from critical decision making to leadership communication.
