3 Eco-Rep Sebastian Sauvagnat '19 helps fellow students properly dispose of their waste during "Weigh the Waste" in the dining hall. Following the event, HWS Dining Services highlighted the difference in the amount of waste by comparing a Non-Trayless Meal and a Trayless Tuesday Meal. 5 Students hit the court on Saturday for Kappa Alpha's "Halfway to March Madness Charity Basketball Tournament." The proceeds benefitted the Muscular Dystrophy Association. 8 To pay tribute to the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, the Kappa Alpha Society placed 2,977 American flags near Trinity Hall overlooking the Quad as part of the annual Day of Remembrance. The HWS community lost three alumni in the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001: Andrew H. Golkin 93, Scott W. Rohner 01 and Michael J. Simon 83, P 11, P 13. The Hackathon gives teams of students, faculty and staff 24 hours to generate an idea that addresses or helps solve a local or global issue. This spring marked the inaugural program. Constants is a certified Personal Empowerment Student Facilitator, having completed the Personal Empowerment Institute led by Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Residential Education Brandon Barile.
