3 Quick Vision of the Show I am a big advocate on giving back to the community. In addition, many people do not know why we step. It's historical purpose. In this action plan, we will be able to give back to the community, have a step show which explains why we step, all while having it during Homecoming! My plan allows each org to be introduced by a poet quickly explaining their history/prominent values before entering to perform & a video clip explaining why our organizations partake in stepping / (slightly long. 7 mins) EVENT NPHC Step Show East Lansing High School, 509 Burcham Drive, East Lansing, MI October 11th, 2013 Seating begins at 5:30 PM Show runs from 7pm 10:00pm PRICE $10 Admission (flat rate) $7 Admission with two (2) can goods, hygiene based product (toothpaste, mouthwash, etc), or lightly worn clothing The Step Show is a Package Deal Marketing Purposes Jordan doesn't make shoes for every person that wants a pair. The same logic applies to this year s step show. 800 people are guaranteed to come, purely off word of mouth. The others who are unable to get in should be encouraged to come to the after party, which can hold over 1,000 people. The thought of having a step show during homecoming is already huge progress for our council. In 2014 we can look into securing a larger venue for the show. See Budget Page 7 The added perk of canned goods, hygiene products, and/or clothing donations 3

5 Judging will be based on an AVERGAGE derived from the total points earned, MINUS the high and low scores. NO EXCEPTIONS! Maximum 100 points per judge Criteria Points 1. Introduction step Crowd Interaction/ending applause Complexity Creativity Synchronization Enthusiasm Vocal Clarity Within time limit? Ten (10) points for: 10 minutes or below. Eight (8) points for: 10:30 :10:59. Five (5)points for: 11:30 :11:59 9. Theme 1 10 One (1) point for: 12:00 or longer 10. Overall Performance 1 10 CROWD VOTING (Allows for Crowd Voting via Texting) 10 minute window allowed for voting. HIGHEST % = 100 POINTS 2ND = 75 POINTS 3RD= 50 POINTS 4TH 25 POINTS ORG WITH HIGHEST POINT TOTAL TO 500 (4 judges at 100 points + crowd voting of 100 points) WILL BE CROWNED THE 2013 STEPSHOW CHAMPIONS. 5
