3 The Connecticut State Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education (CSDE/BSE) qualifies Transition / Vocational as providers who meet the following criteria and have received a Facility Code of 82 or 90 from the CSDE/BSE: 1) Meets ALL of the following criteria: Serves students years old who have completed academic credits toward a regular High School Diploma. Offers transition/vocational services that may include functional academics. (Note that these providers are not approved to provide academic credit toward a regular high school diploma). Students do not attend any part of their transition/vocational program on a high school campus. AND 2) Meets AT LEAST ONE of the following criteria: Holds a current and valid contract as a vendor with the Board of Education and Services for the Blind (BESB). Holds a current and valid contract as a vendor with the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (BRS). Holds a current and valid contract as a vendor with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Is operated by a Local Education Agency (LEA). AND 3) Meets AT LEAST ONE of the following criteria: Serves as a private vendor/contractor with a public school district for transition/vocational services. Is a district-operated transition/vocational program located in a community setting (e.g., college/university campus, hospital, apartment/house). Is a district-operated transition/vocational program that does not have a permanent physical location, but transports students to and from transition/vocational service sites on a weekly schedule.
