Provost William Van Buskirk, Assistant Professor of Management, has been named the recipient of the 1992 Fritz Roethlisberger Memorial Award of the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society. This award is presented to the author of the best paper published each year in the Journal of Management Education. The Chair of the Roethlisberger Award Committee has indicated to us that Bill's award is particularly special. The Committee reviewed two of his articles from the Journal and decided that he deserved the award for both. This achievement was characterized as "unique and extraordinary." Please join me in congratulating Bill on this exceptional recognition of his work.

4 MEMORANDUM TO: Members of the University Community FROM: Dominic J. Galante, Registrar DATE: April 10, 1992 I am pleased to announce the appointment of Glenn F. Russell as Assistant Registrar. Glenn received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Hartford and is currently enrolled in the Master of Education Program at La Salle. In the past year and a half, Glenn has been Manager of the Student Loan Department at La Salle. He brings to his new position a great amount of dedication, commitment, enthusiasm, and respect for the La Salle tradition. All of us in the Registrar's Office welcome Glenn as an important addition to our staff and we hope you will stop in our office and welcome him in his new role.

Johnson, Assistant Provost for Administration I regret having to announce that because of budget constraints, the Concert and Lecture Series will be suspended during the 1992 academic year. Let me hasten to add that a modest amount of funding has been provided to assist faculty, departments, programs, or combinations of individuals or departments in presenting educational or cultural programs similar to the kind of programming C&L undertakes. The C&L Series Committee will continue to work during the year and will review proposals for funding of events. Anyone wishing to request funding should send me a written proposal for the Committee's consideration. We do not wish to promote paper work, but to help the Committee effectively allocate the small amount of money available, proposals should outline the type of program to be presented, all costs involved, and the expected benefit for either a specific audience or the campus at large. If you have any questions about programs you might want to present to the Committee, please feel free to call me at extension Thank you

Rather than give you a listing each week, I have attached the listings through the winter season. Each grouping represents a different week's listing with the preferred date of distribution on each. If you have any questions, please call. Thank you. Imagine a child attending a school with no library. Until now, the Roosevelt Middle School has been such an institution. The Inter-Fraternity/Sorority Council of is sponsoring a book drive in order to stock a library for the Roosevelt Middle School. The book drive will run until April 20. Books can be dropped off at the Urban Development Center (20th and Olney, across from College Hall), St. Miguel Townhouse E6, the 2nd floor of St. Albert's dormitory, Room 210, and Olney 248. We would be grateful if you would once again ask your students for their participation. While they are home for the Easter holiday, they might clean out attics and basements, or check with neighbors and local libraries. Please help us to achieve our goal of 1500 books so that we can help the kids of today become the leaders of tomorrow. The I.F.S.C.
