25 2 5 GRIPEN FOR CANADA The Government of Canada has initiated a competition to acquire a fleet of 88 advanced fighter aircraft Sweden has been approached to be part of the competition Discussions between the Canadian Government and the Swedish Government are ongoing We expect the Canadian Government to issue an RFP in 2019 Expected first aircraft deliveries in 2025 with IOC in Saab strongly believes that Gripen E would be the perfect fighter for Canada
