3 ADSS AIR DEFENSE SYSTEM SOLUTIONS AIR DEFENSE SYSTEM SOLUTIONS Effective air defense is based on integration and coordinated use of airborne and/or ground based active and passive sensors, command control centers and weapons of various types. The air defense network usually includes the surveillance and control of the protected airspace, projection of airpower for air defense missions, wide area air defense at medium and high altitude and site point air defense, covering medium and low altitudes. Each of these elements utilize weapon systems, sensors and command control assets designed to meet the specific tactical scenarios. A typical air defense system is comprised of sensors to detect and track threats, Command & Control (C2) systems which process information for decision-making, as well as gun and missile systems to engage and destroy the threats. ASELSAN s Networked Air Defense System based on the layered air defense concept tightly integrates the sensors, C2 and weapon (missile/ gun) systems for enhanced awareness, responsiveness and precision. In addition to the existing products, ASELSAN is engaged in development programs for Very Short Range (VSHORAD), Short Range (SHORA) and Medium Range Air Defense Systems. ASELSAN provides state of the art solutions that benefit from existing ASELSAN technology and know how in air defense: Fire Control Command Control Electro-Optic Sensors and Radars Weapon Systems Integration ASELSAN Air Defense Solutions present a layered air defense network of gun and missile systems complemented with high performance sensors, command and control, communications and fire control capabilities. specifications are subject to change without any notice

5 CAPABILITIES SITUATIONAL AWARENESS Maintaining a wide array of long, medium and short range sensors, networked to form a comprehensive and identified real-time integrated air picture that displays precisely the locations and movements of friendly and enemy aircraft, significantly enhances the awareness of the air defense system. RESPONSIVENESS Remote weapon display networks the sensors, C2 and weapon systems, enabling rapid and seamless dissemination of information to all parties within the air defense system. This enhances the responsiveness of the entire air defense system. PRECISION Remote weapon display networks the sensors, C2 and weapon systems, enabling rapid and seamless dissemination of information to all parties within the air defense system. This enhances the responsiveness of the entire air defense system. ROBUSTNESS Networking various sensors, C2 and weapon systems enhance the robustness and survivability of the overall air defense system. With networking, the degradation of any single sensor, C2 and/or weapon system will have minimal impact on the entire system as there are several other sensors, C2 and/ or weapon systems that will continue to function. INTEGRATED LOGISTIC SUPPORT ASELSAN provides the necessary integrated logistic support throughout the entire life-cycle of the system. CUSTOMER ORIENTED PROGRAM MANAGEMENT In todays competitive market, customers require specific air defense solutions based on their own requirements. ASELSAN has over 30 years of experience in the design and development of weapon systems. This experience has resulted in high technical expertise that enables the design, development and export of air defense systems to meet the wide range of customer requirements.
