Minutes of the last SC Meeting No comments were given to the draft minutes from the steering committee meeting performed on the 1 February The minutes were approved. The minutes are up-loaded to the homepage. 2. Planning workshops during the spring of 2017 The meeting discussed the workshops to be performed during the spring of Steps to be taken to develop invitations were discussed. The following is valid for the workshops: a. Cost and Safety Forsmark In January Forsmark have informed that it will not be possible to host a workshop during the spring of 2017.Forsmark have since proposed 3 possible weeks for the workshop during the fall Week September Week October Week October 1 P a g e

2 The goal is to have an invitation sent out early in March The meeting discussed these alternatives. The secretary recommended to get support for the alternative week 36 as the other dates will come close to JBOG workshop and the European workshop. TVO has by supported week 36. Responses related to selection of week shall be given by OKG, KGG, KKL and KKM before the 10 of March. FKA and the secretary shall develop an invitation for the workshop before the 20 March. Selection days within the week shall take care of wishes from Ralf Zander. The meeting supported this action plan. b. Robust Power- 2nd quarter Forsmark Ralf Zander has initiated a dialogue with Forsmark Per Lamell- to prepare for the Robust Power workshop to be held during the 2nd quarter of Based on responses from members it have been decided that the workshop will be performed 2 and 3 May Forsmark is looking for a suitable place close to Arlanda airport. Before the 15 of March an invitation will be sent out to BWR-club members and associated members. The invitation will also be uploaded on the homepage. The themes for the workshop will include the topics -open phase -assessments of disturbances on the internal grid + eventually other issues The meeting supported this plan. c. Safety and level measurement- 2nd quarter KKL/TVO KKL and TVO have selected persons to be responsible for planning the workshops as host for the workshop. The Tech.secretary has initiated a dialogue with these persons for selection of date and place for the workshop. This pre-planning work will go on up to the 15 of March. Proposals on dates will then be transferred to the other BWR-club members. In early April an invitation shall be ready for distribution to members and associated members. The meeting supported this plan. 3. Planning workshops during the fall of 2017 During the fall the following workshops/conferences are scheduled to be performed - JBOG-workshop - European conference 2 P a g e

3 - Valve and Maintenance workshop a. JBOG-workshop/European conference The chairman and OKG have proposed in s to the members to combine the JBOG workshop and the European conference to be performed during the same week in Oskarshamn. The last meeting found the proposal attractive and supported that this should be the basis for further planning. The following three different weeks were proposed for this combined Workshop/Conference: - Week October - Week October- 3 November - Week November JBOG have been contacted for selection of dates. JBOG have responded that week 44 is best and week 45 is a second alternative. The meeting identified that during week 44 there is common holidays in Germany and Switzerland. With these inputs it was decided to perform the workshop during week 45 with OKG as host. Workshops and meetings will be performed at Oskarshamn or close to the plant. The following plan will be valid for the week: - Day 1 and 2: JBOG-workshop - Day 3- BWR-club steering committee - Day 4 and 5: European conference OKG will select hotel and conference rooms for these meetings as soon as possible. In early April an invitation will be sent out to all members and associated members. b. Valve and maintenance workshop The valve and maintenance workshop will be performed in Karlstein with a combined host between AREVA and Gundremmingen. The workshop is scheduled for 3 days. Gundremmingen (Thomas Schäffer) and AREVA are prepared to perform the workshop during the following weeks - Week 47 (20-24 November) - Week 48 (27 November - 1 December) Ralf Zander will contact BWR-Valve and maintenance contact persons to select most suitable date during these weeks. 4 Ralf has asked the members on suitable dates for having workshops and dates that are not suitable All members were asked to respond to this request. The technical secretary shall up-date the homepage with the revised schedule for all of these workshops. 4. Charter 2018 The last meeting the work to develop/revise the Charter for BWR-club to cover 2 or 3 more years after 2017 was discussed. The aim is to have an accepted version of the charter by early June The technical secretary (Ralf with support from Göran) have sent out proposals during February to all members on - new/revised charter text - new/revised addendum-text and a letter specifying the decisions and actions that the member shall initiate before supporting and signing a new charter. Before the meeting KKM have informed that they give a common support to the proposed changes. No other inputs have been given. The meeting decided the following: All members shall send in their comments to the proposals before the 31 March. Responses shall be sent to Ralf Zander. A specific meeting will be performed among the steering committee members on 11 April to assess the responses to - new/revised charter text - new/revised Addendum-text - future membership in BWR-Forum After the meeting on the 11 April possible new members shall be contacted with a proposal to join BWR-club for the new period. Thomas Probert informed that Horizon have informed him that they prepare to be members for the new period. The goal is to have an accepted version of the charter available by early June Signing shall be performed during the fall of The meeting approved the proposed program and schedule 4 P a g e

5 5. GEH-offer for 2016 and 2017 GEHs offer for support to BWR-club during 2016 has been sent out to all members according to the share of cost specified in the last steering committee meeting. The total cost for GEH-support was 45 k. The offer for 2017 was discussed. George informed at the meeting about GEHs cost proposal for their service to the BWR-club for The BWR-club chairman will contact the members to get their view of the offer from GEH. The chairman will based on the responses contact George Depta about the outcome. 6. BWROG? Ulrich have informed BWROG chairman Lesa Hill about the change of chairman in BWR-club. Lesa have responded to Thomas Probert that she is prepared to hold a meeting during 2017 with BWR-club. She asked for a schedule of BWR-club meetings. Thomas Probert has responded that a meeting schedule shall be sent to here as soon as such schedule is available. Based on the output of this BWR-club meeting Thomas shall inform Lesa and BWROG about the BWR-club schedule. Daniel informed that BWROG will have their European conference in Valencia at the end of May Status on responses to questionnaire and report developments.- The tech.secretary had sent out an up-dated status of lacking responses to support development of new technical report or to up-date of existing technical reports. No comments were given to the list. Göran pointed out which responses are most critical for the planned work to develop technical reports the coming month. No comments were given to the information. All members will do their best to deliver remaining responses and conference reports. Ulrich informed by that EPRI have not responded to the draft BWR-VIP report. The technical secretary also reminds the members to send in responses to questions from: - Horizon questions about RPV stud tensioning procedure - JBOG questions about maintenance of severe accidents systems The meeting supported the status and the reminder. 5 P a g e

6 8. Homepage new password Daniel asked why the photosfrom Fukushima and Onagawa, on the ZIP-file was not available. Göran informed that no photos have been up-loaded on the ZIP-file page. All photos from Fukushima and Onagawa are up-loaded on the JBOG homepage. The reason for this is that no photos with full pixel quality have been delivered from JBOG. Göran will contact JBOG to get photos with high quality that can be up-loaded on the ZIP-file page. 9. Next meeting- The next meeting was proposed to be performed on the 28 March This meeting will focus on the workshop planning and the GEH contract for The meeting on the 11 April will focus on the Charter development. Thomas will send out invitations. 10.
