THEY HAVE TO HAVE A DIRECTION WHERE THEIR LIFE IS HEADED. KEVIN WAS HARD WORKING, GIVING OVER 100% IN EVERYTHING HE UNDERTOOK. HE PLAYED SPORTS, LOVED TO HUNT AND FISH, AND LOVED THE OUTDOORS. HE HAD A STRONG SENSE OF PRIDE FOR HIS COUNTRY, HIS FAMILY, AND OTHERS. HE WAS A QUIET LEADER AND WELL- RESPECTED AMONG HIS PEERS. HE COULD BE COUNTED ON TO COMPLETE TASKS AND NEVER COMPLAINED ABOUT HAVING TO DO WORK. KEVIN WASN'T A VOLUNTEER IN COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES AND SUCH, AS HE WORKED AS HARD AS HIS DAD AT THE JOB SITE. I REMEMBER READING A LETTER FROM ONE OF HIS MEN OVER IN IRAQ AND HE SPOKE OF KEVIN AS THIS: 'WE HAD TO SLEEP IN THE TRUCKS (ON MISSIONS) AND IT WAS COLD 13
14 OUTSIDE. THERE WAS NEVER ROOM FOR ALL OF US; SO IF ONE OF THE MEN WERE OUTSIDE KEVIN WOULD TAKE HIS PLACE AND LET HIM SLEEP IN THE TRUCK WHERE IT WAS WARM. KEVIN NEVER COMPLAINED ABOUT ANYTHING.
