Bennett Medical Scholarship Endowment Per the terms of the Trust, as modified by the June 1, 2016 nonjudicial settlement agreement between the Curators of the University of Missouri and the Missouri Attorney General, the funds shall be used "...for the establishment, support and maintenance of one or more scholarships at the Medical School at the University of Missouri at Columbia." The terms further state "...the recipients of such scholarships and the amount of the stipend for each shall be determined by the University acting through such officers or committee as it may from time to time charge with the duty of passing upon aids and awards to students." One or more annual awards shall be made to medical students enrolled in the School of Medicine. Selected recipients must have a demonstrated financial need. To provide one or more annual awards to students in the MU School of Medicine. One or more annual awards shall be made to full-time students enrolled in the School of Medicine. Selected recipients shall have a financial need and shall be planning to practice family medicine in a rural area. Medicine. Scholarship award for medical students who are members of the medical honorary society, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). One or more annual awards shall be given to students enrolled in the School of Medicine. Preference shall be given to students from the Southwest Missouri area with a demonstrated financial need. Two scholarships at $1,000 each shall be awarded per year. Scholarships can be renewed. Recipients should be Missouri residents. One or more annual awards shall be made to a student in the MU School of Medicine. One or two annual awards shall be given to students in the MU School of Medicine with the greatest financial need. First preference shall be given to students who graduated from a high school from St. Francois and Iron Counties, Missouri. To provide one or more annual awards to students enrolled in the School of Medicine who have a demonstrated financial need. One or more annual award(s) shall be made to full-time student(s) from Missouri enrolled in the School of Medicine. Perference shall be given to students with high academic achievements and financial need. To provide one or more annual scholarships to deserving medical students in the School of Medicine. One or more annual awards shall be made to students in the School of Medicine. Selected recipients shall show academic achievement, have a demonstrated financial need and be making satisfactory progress toward a medical degree.

2 Charles Stephen Brooks, M.D. Medical Student Scholarship Child Health Rheumatology Gift-Resident/Med Student Annual scholarship award to a medical student. The choice of the recipient for these funds is not to be based upon academic or financial basis alone, but is to be awarded to a student who demonstrates exemplary study ethics in combination with strong communication and teamwork skills within his/her medical school class. The funds may be used for: 1. Student/ resident travel to present a pediatric rheumatology paper or poster at a regional or national meeting. 2. To assist in publication of a pediatric rheumatology paper, if the student or resident is/are first author/s 3. May assist in housing stipends for students/ residents participating in rheumatology research 4. May assist in helping with rheumatology research that is completely in the hands of the resident or student (although receiving advice from faculty) 5. other possible funding, in keeping with the spirit of the intended use of these funds,as determined by the Chairman of the department. The funds may not be used: 1. By faculty for personal research or to fund research for which they have a student/resident " helping" 2. To help with publication costs of a faculty paper, that happens to have a resident or student as an added (non primary) author 3. For faculty travel of any kind Christy M. Welliver Multiple Sclerosis Neuroscience Scholarship Award Class of 1961 Endowment Fund Class of 1975 International Medicine "Peace Through Health" Scholarship Fund in Honor of Dr. Mitchell J. Rosenholtz First preference for use of the fund is one or more annual, summer scholarship awards shall be made to provide support for advanced training in neuroscience to all medical students who have completed their first or second year of training. When there are candidates who are equally qualified, special preference shall be given to those with an interest in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology. The scholarships may be clinical or research, or a combination thereof. At the discretion of the Dean of the School of Medicine, funds may also be used to support research stipends, professional development, teaching materials, travel, and staff support for post-doctoral fellows in the Department of Neurology. Preference shall be given to students interested in neuroscience research and, specifically, multiple sclerosis. One or more annual awards of a minimum of $1,000 each shall be made to full-time students enrolled in the School of Medicine. The recipients must have completed the first year of medical school, with academic standing in the upper 50% of the class, and have a demonstrated financial need. The selected recipients must be residents of the State of Missouri. To support at least one MU medical student annually to undertake an international medical experience in the Republic of Georgia. This effort shall be coordinated with A CALL TO SERVE INTERNATIONAL and the Georgia Country affiliates. As the endowment grows, the Class of 1975 may elect to also fund medical research in addition to the externship.

Jones Endowed Scholarship CoxHealth Springfield Clinical Campus Scholarship Fund One or more annual awards shall be made to full-time students in the MU School of Medicine. The recipient(s) shall have a sense of compassion, with a special sensitivity to the needs of the community, his/her fellow students, and his/her patients. It is assumed that the recipient will have a high potential for successful achievement in medicine, and a high level of academic achievement. Medicine. Preference shall be given to students from the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Additional preference shall be given to students who graduated from the Chaminade College Preparatory School. One or more annual awards shall be given to students enrolled in the School of Medicine with a demonstrated financial need. One or more annual scholarship awards of a minimum of $2,000 each shall be given to students enrolled in the School of Medicine who are medical students at the Springfield Clinical Campus. Applicants shall be scored based on the following criteria: a. Awards made only for Springfield Clinical Campus students: 1) (5 points) CoxHealth Connection (past employee, volunteer, family member is an employee or volunteer, Medical Explorer). 2) (4 points) Service Area connection (PSA): Barry County, Christian County, Greene County, Lawrence County, Stone County, Taney County or Webster County. As the PSA changes, these counties shall be updated accordingly**. 3) (3 points) Financial need. b. Awards made to students in the event MU discontinues CoxHealth s involvement with the Springfield Clinical Campus: 1) (5 points) CoxHealth Connection (past employee, volunteer, family member is an employee or volunteer, Medical Explorer). 2) (3 points) Service Area connection (PSA): Barry County, Christian County, Greene County, Lawrence County, Stone County, Taney County or Webster County. The selected recipients shall have a sense of compassion and caring, with a special sensitivity to the needs of the community, his/her fellow students, and his/her patients, which are all characteristics which Doctor Ferrell posessed. Preference shall be given to Missouri residents, with further preference given to students who plan to provide medical care in a rural setting through the practice of family medicine. One or more annual awards shall be granted to first year medical students enrolled in the MU School of Medicine. Awards shall be granted on the basis of financial need and satisfactory academic progress. One or more annual awards shall be made to full-time students enrolled in the School of Medicine. Preference shall be given to students with an interest in orthopaedic surgery. To provide one or more annual awards to students in the School of Medicine. An annual award(s), based on financial need, shall be made to an M-3 or M-4 medical student(s). The student(s) must have committed to enter the specialty of family practice. First preference shall be given to a student(s) from Franklin, Warren or Gasconade counties in the State of Missouri. If there are no students from the above referenced counties who qualify for the award, second preference shall be given to student(s) from Washington, Crawford, Osage, Maries, Montgomery or Lincoln counties in the State of Missouri. In the event there are no qualified medical students from the counties named in items (2) and (3) above, then the award may be granted to a student(s) with financial need and specializing in family practice from any other rural county in the State of Missouri. One or more annual awards shall be given to students in the MU School of Medicine. Preference shall be given to M-3 or M-4 students, with additional preference given to students from Southeast Missouri. One or more annual scholarship awards shall be given to a second-year student enrolled in the School of Medicine. Recipients must show a demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid. First preference shall be given to students from a rural area of Missouri and to those students who have exhibited an interest in, or an orientation for, primary care. The award is renewable based on the students academic success and continued financial need. To be given annually to one or more applicants of Irish descent to totally or partially support the recipient's actual attendance at the MU School of Medicine for study leading to the degree of doctor of medicine under conditions set up by MU in accordance with acceptable modern standards of supervising scholarship and the purposes of this bequest. It shall be the responsibility of the recipients of the scholarship award to provide such proof as requested of Irish descendency.

Preference shall be given to students who are specializing in Family and Community Medicine and interested in rural practice. Annual scholarship awards for worthy students attending the MU School of Medicine. Financial need need not be taken into consideration. At least one scholarship with a stipend of $ shall be awarded each year. The scholarship may be awarded to the same student for more than one year. If the income in any year should be in excess of $ the Unviersity may add the same to the corpus, or may use it for increasing the stipend of the scholarship, or for awarding additional scholarships in any amount. Scholarship award to a junior in the four-year School of Medicine. Recipient must meet the standards of scholarship, moral character, and financial need as determined by the Committee on Scholarships and Awards of the School of Medicine. One or more annual scholarship awards shall be given to a first-year medical student enrolled in the School of Medicine with a financial need, as determined by the School of Medicine. First preference shall be given to a former MU student athlete. Secondary preference shall be given to a minority student. If this preference ever becomes unenforceable under the law, the award shall be made available to all students who meet the criteria for the award except for race. Additional preference shall be given to a non-traditional student (i.e., someone that did not seek medical school as a first career, or didn't come to medical school directly from an undergraduate degree). Medicine. Recipient must show a demonstrated financial need as determined by the School of Medicine financial aid office. One or more annual awards shall be made to students enrolled in the School of Medicine who have exhibited academic achievement and have financial need. Seventy-five percent (75%) of the annual distribution shall be used to provide scholarship awards: One or more annual awards shall be given to students enrolled in the School of Medicine with exceptional financial need. First preference shall be given to students who intend careers in primary care. Additional preference shall be given to Missouri residents or veterans. Medicine. Recipient must show a demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.

To recognize a faculty or staff member who reflects those characteristics which Dr. McCallum has modeled as set forth above. a) Selection of recipients will be made by a vote of the fourth year medical class. b.) Recipient must receive at least 2/3 of the vote to receive the award. 2. To provide financial assistance to a first or second year medical student who is in need of additional resources to address mental health needs. a.) Preference shall be given, in the following order, to those pursuing careers in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Pediatrics or Family and Community Medicine. b.) Selection of recipients shall be made by the Associate Dean for Student Programs or the Dean of the MU School of Medicine, or by a committee or persons authorized to act on behalf of the Dean. Awards shall be made in accord with accepted rules and regulations within the MU Office of Student Financial Aid. To provide one or more annual awards to students in the School of Medicine. Selected recipients must have a demonstrated financial need. The fund shall provide four annual scholarship awards to students enrolled in the School of Medicine. The four scholarship awards shall be given annually in the amount of $2,425 each. Recipients must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Selection of recipients and pertinent details, including number and amount of awards shall be made by the Dean of the School of Medicine, or by a committee or persons authorized to act on behalf of the Dean. Awards shall be made in accordance with established rules and regulations within the University of Missouri - Columbia Office of Student Financial Aid. Shall provide one or more annual prizes to outstanding students in the School of Medicine who have Dr. Samuel P.W. Black Prize for Excellence in Neurosurgery exhibited excellence in the field of Neurosurgery. Medicine. First preference shall be given to a student who is going into primary care (which includes Dr. Sri Gavini Memorial Scholarship Fund the areas of internal medicine, pediatrics, and/or family and community medicine). Additional preference shall be given to students from Parkway North High School in St. Louis, Missouri or students from the St. Louis, Missouri area. Dr. Thomas P. and Karen E. Sweeney Medical School One or more annual awards will be given to students enrolled in the School of Medicine with a high Scholarship Endowment demonstrated financial need. Medicine. Recipients shall have a greater than average financial need and be in good academic Dr. William and Frances Washington Medical Scholarship standing. Recipient must exhibit exceptional interpersonal communication skills which support the candidate's continuous growth towards becoming a sensitive care provider, peer recognized teacher, and/or wise clinical investigator.

Barnett, M.D. Scholarship Fund Francis Families Foundation Award in Anesthesiology One or more annual awards shall be given to students in the MU School of Medicine. First priority shall be given to students with a demonstrated financial need. Second priority shall be given to students who have exhibited an interest in the lower income-producing specialties (such as Family Practice, Pediatrics, etc.). The third priority shall be given to those students who have a desire to practice in underserved geographic areas. One or more annual awards shall be given to students enrolled in the School of Medicine. The Holt Ethics Essay Award will be presented annually to the medical student whose essay on an ethical issue in medicine is determined to be of the highest quality. Criteria for selection, in addition to others subsequently developed, shall include: originality of concept/topic, composition, clarity of arguments posed, and application to the field of bioethics and the practice of medicine. Essays will be limited to 1000 words. One or more annual scholarship awards shall be given to students who are Missouri residents and enrolled in the School of Medicine. Recipients must be a second year (M-2) student, or above, to receive the award. First preference shall be given to students from the Northeast Missouri area. For purposes of this award, the Northeast Missouri area shall be defined as the following counties: Marion, Ralls, Pike, Monroe, Shelby, Clark and Lewis. Second preference shall be given to students from a rural Missouri town. For purposes of this award, a rural Missouri town shall be defined as having a population of 15,000 or less. One or more annual scholarship awards, to be known as the EDWARD BAUMHARDT SCHOLARSHIP, shall be given to students enrolled in the MU School of Medicine. A $2000 award shall be made, every other year, beginning in 2016, to the student or resident who writes the best paper, as judged by the designee of the Dean of the MU School of Medicine, on the subject of schizophrenia or a related subject, until such time as it is decided to discontinue the award under the terms of the Decree. Annual scholarship award to worthy students in the MU School of Medicine who are ambitious to receive a medical education, and who, without financial assistance, would be unable to pursue said Medical School education. One or more annual awards shall be made to a student in the MU School of Medicine. Priority shall be given to students from the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area. One or more annual awards shall be made to students in the School of Medicine. Selected recipients shall have a demonstrated financial need and exhibit academic achievement in their chosen field. One or more annual awards shall be made to students in the School of Medicine. First preference shall be given to students from the metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri area. One or more annual scholarship awards shall be given to students enrolled in the Honors College who have been accepted into the School of Medicine. First preference shall be given to an Honors College student who has declared an area of concentration in the Biological Sciences and has requested a letter of recommendation from the Honors College to the School of Medicine. The scholarship will be used for tuition assistance. To "annually award a scholarship to a first-year medical student in financial need." Medicine. Whenever possible or acceptable, the recipients shall be a resident of one of the following State of Missouri Counties (in order of preference): Randolph, Chariton, Carroll, Macon, Monroe, or Saline.

Ned Smith, M.D. Scholarship Fund Medicine, with preference given to under-represented minorities with financial need. It is the donors' intent that the award be given to a first-year student and renewed for an additional three years (four years total) as long as the student is making satisfactory academic progress. The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) defines underrepresented minorities as those racial and ethnic populations that are underrepresented in the medical professions relative to their numbers in the general population: blacks, Native Americans (that is American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians), Mexican Americans, and mainland Puerto Ricans. If it is ever legally mandated that such minority scholarships are illegal, the fund shall be available to all students in the School of Medicine who meet the criteria of the fund. Awarded to 4th year student demonstrating excellence in patient care. Honors Convocation Award. Needy medical students from Ozark County, Missouri, or needy students coming from lowpopulation towns (less than 15,000) in south central or southwestern Missouri. Shall be used to provide scholarships for students studying medicine at any of the campuses of the University of Missouri. Said scholarship fund shall be known as the "Harry Kirk Waggoner Memorial Medical Scholarship Fund." Fund is administered by Financial Aid since it is U-Wide. One or more annual awards shall be made to third-year medical students in the School of Medicine. The recipient(s) shall have a sense of compassion, with a special sensitivity to the needs of the community, his/her (their) fellow students, and his/her (their) patients. It is assumed that the recipient will be American born, have high potential for successful achievement in medicine and a high level of academic achievement. Shall be used to provide scholarship awards to students in the School of Medicine who have pressing financial need. Medical Student annual award given at Commencement to the graduating student who has exhibited excellent leadership skills. To provide scholarships and/or loans to students enrolled in the School of Medicine who exhibit academic achievement and have a demonstrated financial need. One or more annual awards shall be made to full-time medical students in the School of Medicine at MU. One or more annual awards shall be given to students enrolled in the University of Missouri- Columbia School of Medicine. Selected recipients shall be second year medical students (M-2) and must have a demonstrated financial need. Preference shall be given to students from a rural area, specifically from towns of less than 100,000.

Mihalevich Medical Student Scholarship John and Ruth Musselman Medical Scholarship Fund One or more awards of a minimum of $5,000 shall be made to medical school students to allow them to participate in medical mission trips that are pre-approved and organized by the MU School of Medicine. First preference for location will be given to the Falmouth Health Clinic of Falmouth, Jamaica. Should the Falmouth Health Clinic not be available or suitable for a medical rotation in any given year, a different location can be chosen after consultation with the donors. The donors have approved paying expenses from this endowment for costs incurred for a faculty member to escort the students. Students shall be selected through an application process provided by the MU School of Medicine. To provide one or more annual awards to full-time students in the medical profession. One or more annual awards, to support an international clinical rotation experience, shall be made to full-time medical students enrolled in the University of Missouri School of Medicine at Columbia, Missouri. One or more annual awards shall be granted to students enrolled in the School of Medicine at MU who are in their second, third or fourth year of medical studies, have demonstrated financial need, and have shown some degree of achievement. One or more annual awards shall be made to students in the School of Medicine. Selected recipients must have a demonstrated financial need and have exhibited academic excellence. Gifts in support awards for the medical student of the year in Psychiatry Shall be used to provide scholarship awards to full-time students in the School of Medicine, with preference being given to Boone County residents. One or more annual awards shall be made to full-time students enrolled in the School of Medicine, Department of Child Health. Recipients shall exhibit academic achievement, have a research interest in medical/pediatrics and have a demonstrated financial need. It is the donors' intention that this be a meaningful award, and request that larger awards be granted rather than a number of small awards. Medicine. Preference shall be given to a fourth year medical student interested in primary care and with a demonstrated financial need. An annual scholarship to assist selected students in meeting the financial costs and necessary expenses of attending medical school, as follows: The scholarship may be for one or more years. In selecting recipients for a scholarship, the University shall consider, among other factors, the individuals prior scholastic record, community service, extra scholastic activities, other available resources, need of financial assistance, and reputation and character.

The award may be renewed for a maximum of four (4) years as long as the recipient continues to meet the criteria for the award. The student is of a race or ethnicity that is underrepresented in Medicine in the United States as defined by the Association of American Medical Colleges, with a priority for students who are African-American. b. As between the students identified under criteria (a), preference will be given to students with financial need over students without financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid. c. As between the students identified under criteria (a) and (b), preference will be given to students considering careers in specialties or locations that are underserved. If it is ever federally mandated that the criteria in II(A)(1)(a) is illegal for the Curators to apply to an endowed scholarship such as that established under this Agreement, the Curators will, within a reasonable period of time, notify the donor representative. The donor representative will have 120 days from receipt of the date of the notice to direct any lawful change in the criteria above. In the event that the donor representative does not give different direction, the award shall be made available to all students who meet criteria II(A)(1)(b) and (c). One or more annual awards shall be made to full-time students enrolled in the School of Medicine who have a demonstrated financial need. Monetary awards shall be made from the distributions account to students in any of the four medical school classes at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. Recipients shall be from the Southwest counties in the State of Missouri. For purposes of this endowment, southwest counties shall be defined as Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, Newton, McDonald, Ozark, Polk, Stone, Laclede, Taney, Texas, Webster, and Wright. If a recipient's enrollment is terminated for any reason during a school year, a replacement recipient for the balance of the school year may be selected. If there are no qualified recipients from the counties listed above, the award shall not be granted for that year, but shall be retained in the distribution account to be used for future awards. One or more annual scholarship awards shall be granted to students enrolled in the School of Medicine. One or more annual awards shall be given to students in the MU School of Medicine. Preference shall be given to students from Southeast Missouri. Ruby T. McVean's trust directs "the fund shall be used for the purpose of providing annual stipends for scholarships for students, including graduate students, enrolled and engaged in full time study." Additional criteria specified by the trust are students in need of financial assistance in order to attend the University; good moral character; and who shall maintain in college while receiving assistance hereunder, a grade average within the upper one-third of their class.
