Building on the theory and clinical practice from Semesters I & II, the nursing process approach to care management is reinforced and theory and technical skills relevant to the provision of care in acute care settings are studied. Opportunities for teaching and learning in both the laboratory and acute care clinical settings support integration of theory to practice. Program Information: This course is one of 4 courses offered in the third semester of the Access to Practical Nursing program. Satisfactory completion of each of these courses must be achieved in order to progress to the Acute Care Practicum APNP 130. Delivery: This course is delivered face-to-face. 5 EXAM POLICY Students must attend all required scheduled exams that make up a final grade at the appointed time and place. Individual instructors may accommodate for illness or personal crisis. Additional accommodation will not be made unless a written request is sent to and approved by the appropriate Department Head prior to the scheduled exam. Any student who misses a scheduled exam without approval will be given a grade of 0 for the exam.
