5 JOB AND INTERNSHIPfair Monday, February 26 Register at BEFORE THE FAIR: Build your confidence! Be prepared to talk about yourself. Employers at the fair are excited to meet you. Create or update your resume. Connect with your career services office for help and resources. Make at least 25 copies of your resume on quality paper. Prepare a few sentences to introduce yourself. Research the organizations attending so you can easily connect with the ones that interest you. Find the organizations on GoldPASS or the U of M Guidebook Job Fair mobile guide. Come up with a few questions to ask organization reps. Dress for success. Plan ahead and have business formal clothing to wear. DURING THE FAIR: Come early so you have time to visit your top organizations. Remember to bring copies of your resume. Introduce yourself to employers and show your enthusiasm. Be positive and confident in what you have to offer an employer. Take notes and get business cards from the employers you connect with. Turn off your cell phone. AFTER THE FAIR: How to Prepare for the Fair Follow-up! Send thank you letters to the organizations you connected with at the fair. PREPARATION QUESTIONS?
