6 Person-Centered Recovery Planning May 20 th, :00am-4:00pm RiverValley Behavioral Health, Owensboro KY Presenters: Dr. Lionel Phelps, PsyD.; Mary Kay Lamb, CRCC-CS, ABDA, CCM; This training will give clinicians, case managers, and other treatment providers an overview of Person-Centered Treatment planning in order to involve and empower individuals in their own treatment and recovery process. Participants will learn about the roles of shared decision-making as a component of Person-Centered Treatment, in addition to understanding the skills and strategies needed for Person- Centered care and documentation. Training participants will receive lecture instruction, view videos of consumers who have benefited from the Person- Centered Treatment process, and actively practice writing Person-Centered Treatment plans individually and in groups. Learning Objectives Have a better understanding of Person-Centered Treatment in comparison to traditional treatment approaches Have a better understanding of the use of the person-centered process as a means of empowering individuals and planning for recovery and community integration Express an understanding of the role of shared decision-making as a component of Person-Centered Treatment Be able to understand the skills and strategies needed for person-centered care and documentation, including: identification of strengths and abilities in addition to the needs and challenges of each individuals Registration: Free to RiverValley Employees.
