5 WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 17 Day 1 SUMMIT AGENDA 8:00 AM Registration 9:00-9:15 AM Welcome to the 16th Annual Northeast Home Health Superhero Summit 9:15-10:30 AM Fear, Outrage and the Courage to Change Lanes Lois Kelly, Co-Author of the best-selling book Rebels at Work: A Handbook for Leading Change from Within, Co-Founder of the Rebels at Work movement Every leader knows that the need to change and adapt is essential, especially in home care. Many think that the answers can be found in empowering people, having a clearer mission, and innovating. These are all helpful. But there s something much more fundamental: Tapping into our fear, outrage and love to propel us into acting more courageously. All meaningful change requires courage. In this creative, interactive session, the author of Rebels at Work and Be the Noodle, Lois Lane Kelly, will help us tap into our own lanes of courage, reconnect us with our professional North Stars, and create an experience where we witness a courageous act in all its messiness, humor, vulnerability and love. 10:30-10:45AM Break 10:45 AM-12:00 PM Signal Responses from D.C. Headquarters with Dynamic Dombi Bill Dombi, President, National Association for Home Care & Hospice the national front. He will highlight some of the work he and NAHC are doing to protect and support vital home care services as well as some directions that NAHC is taking to reinvent itself as an the association, with the opportunity to receive input from attendees. 12:00-1:00 PM Lunch 1:00-2:15 An Elixir for Unstoppable Innovation and Differentiation Daring David Rendall, Author, The Four Factors of Effective Leadership and The Freak Factor What can tiny houses, Spartan races, knuckleball pitchers, armless archers, Snapchat, unibrows, and Minecraft teach us about innovation and differentiation? We all know that innovation and differentiation are essential for success in our careers and our companies. But developing and implementing truly unique ideas and practices seems very difficult, and most people and organizations fail in their efforts to be more creative and distinctive. The elixir for this problem is surprisingly simple. Once you learn this singular method for finding unconventional ideas, called oppositioning, you ll dramatically improve your ability to stand out and you ll have an endless supply of original breakthroughs. You ll go from unconventional to unforgettable to unstoppable. From his operations center in Washington, where he serves as President of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC), Bill Dombi finds himself in multiple places at once, tackling all of the critical issues facing home care providers on 4

We will explore this question with the leaders of our state hospital associations in a wide-ranging conversation about working more cooperatively on such issues as population health management, controlling medical costs and developing innovative and more integrated models of care. Hospital Association Panel Jeff Tieman, President and CEO of Vermont Hospital & Health Systems Steven Michaud, President of the Maine Hospital Association Kathy Bizarro-Thunberg, MBA, FACHE, Executive Vice President / Federal Relations, New Hampshire Hospital Association James Iacobellis, Senior Vice President, Government and Regulatory Affairs, Connecticut Hospital Association 6
