2 Introduction City of Salinas Welcome and thank you for attending Resource Group Meeting #2 Thank you to those who attended Stakeholder Meetings or Resource Group Meeting #1 (or both) This is the Community s Vision to help the City Council set policy for Economic Prosperity and You Represent the Community! These steps are estimated to occur in February and March of 2014.

4 Community Conversation SPARC started the Community conversation about economic prosperity in Salinas several years ago. The City, SPARC, and Resource Group are carrying the conversation forward to a strategy and policy plan. SPARC and the City hosted 14 Stakeholder Group interviews (with approximately 70+ people in attendance) and Resource Group meeting #1 (with 300+ people invited and approximately 80+ people in attendance) on August 28 & 29. Range of stakeholders: Ag, landowners, labor, education, environment, old town, business, construction, community groups, etc. The Resource Group is charged with continuing this Community conversation here tonight and until the City Council adopts the EDE as a policy.
