4 Why We Exist Current Mission The City of Goodyear will provide the finest municipal services and promote a quality environment to enhance our community s prosperity through citizen and employee participation. We are committed to the stewardship of resources and fulfillment of the public trust. Recent Council Definition To ensure quality of life, public safety, and public health by providing city services such as public safety, water and sewer, parks and recreation, community development, courts, trash and recycling, environmental stewardship, streets and maintenance, transportation, and the library for residents, local businesses, visitors and the environment. 4
