The total grant received was $1,840 and was used to provide funding for myself and another faculty member to travel to Panama in March 2014 with thirty MSOE students to do medical service work. Pieper Power Foundation Servant-Leadership Mini-Grant, January 2011 The Pieper Power Foundation regularly provides grants of $500 to faculty members at the Milwaukee School of Engineering to develop projects that promote the philosophy of Servant-Leadership. Coleman Foundation Faculty Entrepreneurship Fellows Program Grant, May 2010 The Coleman Foundation regularly provides grants to faculty across a variety of disciplines so they can develop new courses and modify existing courses to integrate entrepreneurship into the university curricula. The total grant was $18,000; I received $5,000 to modify HU 100 Contemporary Issues in the Humanities to include a unit on entrepreneurship. Dr. Jeffery Blessing is the principal grant coordinator for the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Committee on Baccalaureate Expansion Grant, University of Wisconsin System, April 2010 The University of Wisconsin System gave the Milwaukee School of Engineering a grant of $63, 165 so the MSOE could develop a collaborative relationship with Saint Joan Antida High School in Milwaukee, WI. The purpose of this relationship is to better prepare minority high school women for entering post-secondary education in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). I developed and wrote the proposal, and served as the principal grant coordinator, implementing the collaborative relationship between the two institutions.
