12 12 PROJECT YOUTH This is a community participation outreach program. If you are looking to make a donation for a great cause, this is it. This program will give children who are from families of low to moderate income a chance to participate in the various recreation programs at our facility. Applicants seeking to apply for this Scholarship can call Director, Jennifer Wright at (734) Scholarships will not be granted until the Recreation Department receives funds. ADA ACCESSIBILITY Information The Van Buren Parks and Recreation Department is working toward making all of our facilities, programs, services and activities accessible to everyone. Individuals requiring an auxiliary aid or accommodations should advise us of your needs at the time of registration or a minimum of 72 hours prior to the start of the service. Every effort will be made to make the facilities accessible. REFUND POLICY Patron satisfaction is our most important objective. Full refunds will be issued if the Recreation Department cancels a program. Refunds will be given during the first week of the class/program ONLY. NO refunds after one week of classes starting. A $10.00 administrative fee per person, per program, per season will be charged for all refunds requested by the participant. Credit vouchers are another opportunity for a refund. $10.00 administrative fee is waived on credit vouchers. Refunds or reduction of fees will not be given for classes missed by the participant. Refunds will be received in the mail within 4-6 weeks. No refunds for oneday programs, community events and trips. VOLUNTEERS The Van Buren Parks and Recreation Department is looking for volunteers to assist with our community activities, events and youth programs.
