In fact, that s how he found Clear Lake in the first place, it s widely known around Spokane as a premiere fishing spot! What started as a hobby, turned into a job and Mike has been at Clear Lake Recreation Area for over 22 years. (He also met his wife working at Outdoor Rec!) Clear Lake is 377 acres and 110 feet deep at the north end. It is spring fed and heavily timbered with beautiful cliffs. It s home to lots of wildlife: Turkey Vulture, Blue Herons, moose, beaver, muskrat even American Bald Eagle s nest in the trees around the lake. Clear Lake Recreation Area is an FSS Facility designed for off-duty enjoyment for all of Team Fairchild. There are seven cabins, RV (30 spots) and tent sites (34 acres), boating, fishing and picnicking. There s a snack bar and a renovated shower and bath facility that s all brand new this year. Enjoy the Outdoors with Mike Johnson, Manager, Clear Lake Mike and his team, rent all kind of boats: pontoons, ski, deck, paddle, fishing, kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. He s even got children s kayaks and paddle boards. All you need to rent a boat is to take a 15 minute safety video and Mike can get you on the water. Only 20 minutes west of Spokane on I-90, take Exit 264 for easy access. Turn right and then another right onto Clear Lake Road for half mile. Call Today! America s Kids Run will celebrate its 32 nd year as the largest children s running event worldwide through participation on military bases and abroad. Ages Distance 5-6 1/2 mile mile miles 14 & up 5K LOCAL EVENT TURNED GLOBAL! This event began in 1986 as Junior Bloomsday because the exhausting 7.46 mile Bloomsday event was just too tedious for most children. As an answer, Junior Bloomsday was created and divided by age groups and distances to be more child friendly. After 16 years of success, Junior Bloomsday realized they needed a name change to capture the national and international interest it was receiving by military bases, so America s Kids Run reflected its growth beyond Spokane s borders and quickly became the event that we so enjoy today!

Summer Camp will include a variety of fun sports and games, creative activities and trips to keep your child busy through summer break. Families can select the weeks during summer camp that they are requesting care. Weekly fees are based on total family income and include transportation costs, meals and participation in activities.
