1 Fort George G. Meade Community Council July 26, 2018 Our mission: Provide required infrastructure, a safe and secure community, support services and a high quality of life that enables Fort Meade to be the Nation's Platform for Information, Intelligence and Cyber Operations. 1 of 21 July 2018
2 Due Outs WWI Cabin We will be filling in hole in parking lot later this summer. Fort Meade Museum is still scheduled to close (Date TBD) Many artifacts to move to National Museum of the U.S. Army being built at Fort Belvoir DFMWR Fundraisers on post require approval through DFMWR s Business Operations. Blended Retirement System for military spouse will be involved in Soldier s decision regarding which retirement system for their family Garden Club asked about status of movement/assignment of sheds. Garrison has completed moving sheds and shed assignments for users has been completed DPW/Transformation Gate construction timelines are planned for 18 months from start, with staggered starts; Rockenbach high on the start list; Llewellyn will remain in operations as long as other ACPs are closed for work. AAFES Discussion about ammunition and firearms prices being put in a book available to the buying public One way signs removal at MacArthur street gas station causing traffic issue Traffic is still two-way, but it can t legally be made one-way (According to AAFES) 2 of 21 July 2018
