Holy Cross CSC provided an excellent learning opportunity for Holy Cross students and parents with their PRO Grant presentation, featuring Rt. Sgt. Mark Bellamy: Hints and Tips for Independent Living for all Graduates.

Parent Involvement Grant brought Alyson Schaffer, a parenting expert, to speak to our parent community. Hosted a Family Bowling night, a community building event. Supported Safe School events, hosted a play for the students and a parent evening with our Community Services Police Officer dealing with on-line safety.

Planned a Fun Fair for the end of school that involved community organizations and individuals. Raised funds for the purchase of a sound system for the school's stage. Attended the JK info night to promote parent involvement. Maintained a parent list.

41 St. Francis of Assisi C.E.S, Newcastle Danette Crawford Welcome to School Fall BBQ and Meet the Teacher evening. We had Father Peter, community agencies, jumping castles along with numerous other activities followed by Meet the Teacher. Our main fundraiser was a Halloween Dance-a-thon. The top 6 fundraisers went to McDonald's in a Limo. Also, for the first time we had a float in the Newcastle Santa Claus Parade. Our theme was Joy to the World and we had over 40 students sing and walk in the Parade. We have weekly pizza days as well. We also celebrated St. Francis of Assisi Feast day with live animal presentations. Parents were invited to attend.
