As a Cabrini student, you may find yourself building relationships with your peers and reflecting on faith through Campus Ministry s Adventure Retreat, playing on one or more of our Division III sports teams, working with a professor on a special research project, studying abroad in Australia, interning at Comcast or with the Philadelphia 76ers, planning campus-wide student events as a member of Campus Activities Programming board, or serving communities in West Virginia or Guatemala.

4 WHAT CAN YOU DO AT A SCHOOL THE SIZE OF CABRINI? EVERYTHING. For Francesca, Cabrini was perfect big enough to discover lots of opportunities, small enough to get involved and be a leader. That s exactly what she s done. She s represented Cabrini as a student ambassador, helping prospective students learn more about the University and tour the campus. As part of the Honors Program, she s pushed herself and others intellectually. She s been a cast member in Cabrini s production of Lucky Stiff and experienced acting in a black-box theater. And she did all this in just her first year. Cabrini is a very diverse school that opens your mind to so many ideas and different types of people. Go experience the world and change the way you see it. HAVE A PASSION FOR DISCOVERY? COURTNEY DOES. While at Cabrini, she interned at the Philadelphia Zoo, working with zookeepers caring for and training animals. Then she applied those skills in a biology research project she designed herself, which included socializing and training a guinea pig for a special education classroom. She led a service immersion trip to New Orleans and traveled to Ecuador to serve communities there. And she spent six weeks in Ireland studying international business and Irish culture. At Cabrini, if a passion drives you, we ll fuel it. It s really easy to build relationships with professors here, and it s really easy to go to them for anything. I heard my professor talking about getting a therapy animal. I saw an opportunity for me to train it, because I just had an internship at the Philadelphia Zoo. We became like a family. It really helped me feel welcomed into a great learning environment, and it s noticeable that the teachers care for every individual student. A faculty member had a profound impact on him when she recognized that finance was his strength and ultimate career path. James interned with Northwestern Mutual as a financial representative, and a week after graduation he was offered a full-time role as a financial advisor there.

The experience helped him fine-tune his career focus to working with adolescents, and it helped with his acceptance into Columbia for graduate school. Through Cabrini and my internship at Adolescent Advocates, a drug and rehabilitation facility, I was inspired by different types of social work.
