Charles Cope MBBS(Hons), BSc(Med), FRACS(Plast) Dr Charles Cope is a Plastic Surgeon who specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body, post-mastectomy breast reconstruction, and non-surgical facial rejuvenation with lasers. Dr Cope is currently head of the Plastic Surgery Department at Castlecrag Private Hospital, and has been on the Medical Advisory Committee of Castlecrag Private since 2010, and was the Chairman of the Castlecrag Private MAC from May 2013-May Cheryl Taylor CEO CAPS Mrs Taylor is CEO of The Canberra Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (CAPS) Clinic, Co-Founder of Capstone System Pty Ltd, and Co-Founder of the Plastics Practice Mangers group. 2 Daniel Kennedy MBBS FRACS (Plast) Dr Daniel Kennedy is a Plastic Surgeon who specializes in the areas of facial and breast surgery. Dr Kennedy completed his M.B.B.S at the University of Queensland and has undertaken various international internship ad fellowships including Mount Vernon and Wellington Hospital in London. Dr Kennedy has a successful private practice in Brisbane. Dr Kennedy is Honorary Secretary of ASPS, past President of the Qld branch of ASPS and currently an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is a provider for the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and a paid consultant for Galderma. David Nathan LLB Mr David Nathan holds dual degrees in Law and Science and has held a number of leadership positions. He was appointed CEO of the Australian offices of global law firm Baker & McKenzie, and CEO of Australia's largest medical defence organisation Avant Mutual Group. David is a Director of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce (Vic) and Treasurer of the Alzheimers Australia Dementia Research Foundation. He is a member of the Law Society of NSW and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Dawn Bennett Talent Strategy and Acquisition Specialist Dawn Bennett is a senior HR professional who has specialist expertise in recruitment, training, outplacement and coaching. She has worked internationally agency side, client side and eventually set up her own highly successful consultancy out of Singapore. Gavin Sandercoe FRACS (Plas) Dr Gavin Sandercoe is a plastic surgeon with particular interest in cosmetic plastic surgery as well as reconstructive surgery after trauma and cancer. Gazi Hussain MBBS, FRACS Dr. Gazi Hussain is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who has trained at the highest level both in Australia and overseas. His is one of Australia's leading experts on Facial Reanimation Surgery and developed a reputation for success in various forms of Cosmetic Surgery. Heidi has held numerous positions during her 17 year tenure including Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Intensive Care Unit, Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Nursing Unit Manager, Hospital Bed Manager and the Assistant Director of Clinical Services. Michael Swan AVANT Mutual Group Michael Swan is the Practice Manager of Avant Law s civil team in NSW. He has worked for Avant for the past 16 years as a solicitor involved in defending medical practioners in civil proceedings, coronial inquests and disciplinary complaints. Prior to working at Avant Michael worked as a registered nurse in the emergency department of a tertiary hospital in Sydney. Nicola Dean MBChB, FRCS (Eng), PhD, FRACS (Plas) Dr Dean is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Flinders Medical Centre and Senior Lecturer, Flinders University. Specialising in breast reconstruction clinic for women who have had breast cancer and has this as her main area of research. She also has research interests in patient-reported outcomes measures and health services research. She has recently been involved in editing the Breast Section of the new Oxford Textbook of Plastic Surgery with Prof. Rod Cooter and supervises PhD students in the areas of outcomes measurement research. 8 P age
4 Nicole Sandercoe Chartered Accountant Nicole Sandercoe is the Director of Sandercoe Accounting Chartered Accountants. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree and post graduate Masters of Business Administration (MBA). Nicole is a registered tax agent, member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Justice of the Peace. Nicole recently completed her Diploma of Financial Planning and now holds a Limited Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) to keep abreast of legislative changes in the Financial advising and Superannuation advising space. Richard Theile MBBS FRACS Dr Richard Theile is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with interests in paediatric plastic surgery, craniofacial surgery, skin cancer and general reconstructive surgery. Richard is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and Australian and New Zealand Society of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery. Mr Philip Truskett AM MB BS FRACS FACS FASGBI (Hon) FAICD FRCSEd (ad hominem) Mr Phil Truskett is a General Surgeon with an interest in Upper GI and HPB Surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney, where he is a senior staff specialist. He is a past President of General Surgeons Australia. Immediate past President of the Royal College of Surgeons and Chair-Elect of the Council of Presidents of Medical Colleges (CPMC). He is an advocate for closing the gap health-care initiatives. His major interest is in the provision of Emergency Surgery to our community in our current challenging environment. Pouria Moradia FRACS(plast) Dr. Moradi is a consultant plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon with a specialty in cosmetic and reconstructive breast and facial surgery. 5 Richard Barnett MBBS (Sydney) FRACS FACS Dr Barnett has over 20 years experience as a Specialist Plastic Surgeon. He has a particular interest in cosmetic surgery of the face. Previously, Ruanne was a senior solicitor in civil litigation at Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst) before moving to Avant over ten years ago. The primary focus of her civil practice was representing doctors in complex obstetric and catastrophic injury claims in the Supreme Court, and on to the Court of Appeal and High Court.
